About the Author

Don DeCristofaro is a rarity among paranormal investigators in that prior to beginning this journey he’d never had a paranormal experience. No ghosts, no UFOs, no Bigfoot. As the other kids were reading Robert Luis Stevenson, DeCristofaro was reading Hanz Holzer, but the turning point was John Keel’s Mothman Prophecies.

Since then, over the last twenty years or so, as a part of various groups he’s investigated many of the most haunted locations in the northeast and beyond, but Don’s passion lies in his roots. As a proud navy veteran like his father and brother before him, and those roots run deep, he gives much time and effort to the United States Naval Shipbuilding Museum and USS Salem. These historic landmarks aren’t only in DeCristofaro’s hometown, but are located at the shipyard where he worked upon returning from serving our country. He realized long ago that giving back is a gift of its own.

DeCristofaro realized years ago through his many travels and adventures just how much of the world can be fascinating when looked at through your own lens. He has been anxious for many years to share those experiences with others on a grander scale than the tours and lectures he gives regularly.
