The Carl Zeiss Sonnar 150mm f/4 CF for Hasselblad V-system cameras is a short telephoto lens designed for the 6×6 medium format frame. Its optical construction follows the Sonnar formula, optimized for high contrast and controlled light transmission, with multi-layer T* coating to reduce flare and maintain color fidelity.
The lens offers a 150mm focal length (approx. 82mm equivalent in 35mm terms) and a maximum aperture of f/4, with a minimum focusing distance of 1.5 m. It incorporates a built-in leaf shutter with speeds from 1s to 1/500s plus B, enabling full flash synchronization at all speeds.
A central shutter design ensures low vibration during exposure. The lens uses a manual focusing helicoid with precise damping and a 72mm filter thread. Construction is entirely mechanical, with direct coupling to the Hasselblad body for shutter cocking and aperture control.
