This solution features a proven combination of essential components in a low-sugar, tasty liquid, making it ideal for horses and ponies at risk of laminitis. Cortaflex® HA Regular Strength Solution contains collagen, hyaluronic acid, trace elements, and amino acid building blocks that provide crucial nutritional support for sustaining healthy cartilage and joint fluid. Cartilage serves as the elastic cushion that covers the ends of bones in a joint, functioning as a primary shock absorber and minimizing friction. Synovial fluid should be thick and viscous, providing lubrication and nourishment to the joint, while also serving as an essential shock absorber.

What is Cortaflex®?
Cortaflex® supplements stand out in the market and are often inaccurately compared to other joint supplements! Cortaflex® supplies the necessary building blocks to assist the specialized cartilage cells known as chondrocytes in preserving joint health.
These building blocks consist of:
- Collagen – a crucial element needed by chondrocytes to create the water-based matrix of cartilage. Collagen contributes to the strength of cartilage. (We source our marine-derived collagen sustainably and ethically.)
- Amino acids like glutamic acid – which are transformed in the horse’s body into glutamine, combining with glucose to produce glucosamine, which in turn joins with other compounds to enhance the flexibility and shock-absorbing qualities of cartilage.
- Hyaluronic acid (HA) – a vital component of joint fluid that nourishes the joint and serves as both lubricant and shock absorber.
- Copper, manganese, and silicon – essential trace elements required for the horse to generate its own chondroitin (another critical structural component in cartilage), collagen, and hyaluronic acid.
