There is a knitting book as dependable as your own private instructor, as complete, as explicit, and equally as helpful . . . Mary Thomas's Knitting Book. It's a veritable encyclopedia of knitting, clearly and definitively explaining and illustrating every method, operation and stitch, and a good number of the patterns you are ever likely to need or use. After an engaging history of the craft and its implements, Miss Thomas carefully lays the foundation of knitting in the opening chapters ― how to hold needles, wind yarn, gauge stitches, control tension, etc. ― and builds gradually upon it in the following sections. These explain in lucid progression every operation in common knitting, from basic knit stitch and purl, casting on and casting off, shaping by decreases and increases to turning, triangular shapes and mitres, and knitting on the diagonal or bias.
For the reader who has mastered these fundamental procedures, Miss Thomas devotes the remainder of the book to fancy knitting stitches and techniques, including color knitting by stranding and weaving; pattern weaving; knitting woven, by frame with its complement of stitches (plain, raised, rib, etc.), looped, beaded, embroidered by chart, using cross stitch, honeycomb, etc.; and making patterns for garments and working out their details (armholes, belts, buttonholes, collars, hems, necklines, pockets et al). To put what the reader learns into practice, she offers instructions and patterns for making various Shetland shawls, gloves, and socks.
More than 250 technique diagrams clearly illustrate every operation and pattern as to position of hands, yarn, and needle, so the knitter will have no trouble in following along. For all knitters, whether beginner or adept, a chapter of helpful knitting hints on blocking, picking up dropped stitches, lengthening, knitting up, mending, taking-back (correcting), etc. completes these invaluable and personalized lessons.

BUY this chair!!!!!
Color: Cream
After using this chair for about a month, I can confidently say that it's one of the most comfortable office chairs I've sat in for an extended period of time. Being in school and studying 8+ hours a day at my desk would normally make my back hurt in any other chair. Fortunately, after using this chair all day I have very very minimal back pain, if any at all (definitely due to previous injuries). The cushion on the back of the chair is extremely supportive and comfortable over all. Cannot say enough good things about this chair!!!! Definitely worth the price and easy to put together.

Good quality
Color: Grey
It was easy to put together. Material feels durable. Only downside is that it doesn't tilt lock and the arm rest height isn't adjustable (though it can be folded up). I'm 4'11" and the back is the perfect height for me with great neck and lumbar support. My feet kinda dangle but I use a foot rest so it's not a big deal. My boyfriend who's 5'10" says it's comfy but the back could be taller.

Perfect chair!
Color: Cream
I love this chair! Was hesitant to buy due to the price being a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I work from home and have terrible posture from sitting at my desk all day, so I needed something that would be conducive to helping me sit up properly. I put the chair together myself, it was heavy but overall pretty easy to do. The tools provided worked great and the directions were clear. Aesthetically, it’s a lovely neutral color and everyone who has seen it so far has complimented me and on how nice it is and how comfortable it looks — Indeed it’s a very expensive looking chair. The first time I sat on it I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it….maybe something about the lumbar support seeming to protrude too much? At any rate, I gave it a couple of days and I absolutely LOVE it. I can already feel my posture improving, no backaches and I’m perfectly comfortable all day long. I’ve had it for a couple weeks now and couldn’t be happier. It seems to be very well made, so I’m confident it will last a very long time and be worth the price. I HIGHLY recommend this chair!

UPDATE: DEFECTIVE… it was a Great chair... a bit short for tall people!
Color: Cream, Color: Cream
I purchased this chair four years ago and really liked it. However, when it was damaged during a move, I attempted to replace it. Unfortunately, the replacement chair had a construction issue that had been repeatedly mentioned in numerous comments spanning over a year at least. This defect prevents the chair from being completely assembled, rendering it unusable (screw holes don’t line up). Amazon has failed to address this issue by removing these defective chairs from its inventory. You won’t be aware of this problem until you’ve almost completed assembling the chair. At that point, you’ll have to disassemble it, rebox it, and return the box to UPS. This is an incredibly inconvenient process, and Amazon must take immediate action to rectify this issue before anyone considers purchasing this chair again.
Old review from 2023:
Based on someone else's review, it would seem that this chair is perfect for average-height people but less great for those of us who are a bit tall or (according to her) a bit short. I'm 5'9 with most of my height in my legs. I like a chair to be tall enough that my legs can be straight to the floor from my knees to my feet and still have support under my knees. This chair is too short for that, even at it's highest setting, but it can be fixed with a simple replacement of the gas lift cylinder for a mere $20 (search for gas lift cylinder on Amazon). And the extra $20 is worth it because other than that one issue, this chair is great. My first experience with this chair was at work when the firm replaced all of our desk chairs. I loved it so much that I bought it for myself when I went into private practice. The lumbar support hits in just the right spot and moves with your body as you lean in and out. I love the cream color, and the seat is padded nicely. I especially love the liftable arms. I sit at my desk for 8+ hours straight 5-6 days a week, and I never have body pain-- Granted, I am only 36, but I have definitely experienced this with other office chairs that claimed to be "ergonomic". With a simple lift cylinder replacement and a movable standing desk (which I never actually stand at), I can finally sit at my desk without my knees hitting the underside of the desk or my legs having to be extended out to have support under my knees. These two things mean that I don't slump at my desk anymore, and my neck and back thank me! :)

Good but not great. Limited adjustment
Color: Cream
Chair looks great and is very comfortable and well made. I took stars off because a couple of issues that I can’t live with and will require me to buy another chair.
The chair does not rise high enough. Unlike other office chairs, I feel like I’m a little kid at the adult table(I’m 5’10” male).
The most annoying feature is the chair back angle isn’t adjustable so I’m always at a slight recline. I have to place a pillow behind me to look like I’m not falling asleep while on camera. Suprised there isn’t an adjustment for that.
I would have discovered all of this if I was able to try it out before hand but the mass positive rating don’t mention these issues.
