The Portugieser Chronograph Classic impresses with its timeless design, which also distinguished the legendary IWC models of the 1930s. The new model launched in 2017 is simpler compared to its predecessor, the reference 3904. The classic balance of the style of the Portugieser family is additionally accompanied by reductions on the dial, where the new reference 3903 deliberately refrained from using a chapter ring. The “Chemin de fer”, distinctive of the Portugieser family remains, and stands out on the minimalistic dial. Equipped with the IWC manufactured caliber 89361, the Portugieser Chronograph Classic can show stopped times up to 12 hours on a separate sub dial, which can be read off like the time of day. The reference 3903 is available in three new color combinations: in 18 carat red gold with a silver-plated dial as well as in a stainless steel variant with a silver-plated or blue dial.
