Ray Lugo and Peace & Rhythm have teamed up again, this time to issue Kokolo Afrobeat Orchestra's fifth album, 100 Fevers/Ciento Fiebres. Ten dance-friendly cuts mashing up styles and moods. Afrobeat, Latin funk, cumbia, samba, disco, soukous, protest and party jams are the launch points, but as Kokolo fans have come to expect, there's a whole lot more heat in the grooves. As with previous Kokolo releases, Spanish and Portuguese vocals are in as much evidence as English. Special guests include Nigeria's Jo Jojo Kuo and Elani from Brazil. Every tune is danceable but has it's own vibe from up to down tempo, protest to club culture, social justice to hedonism. Though not exactly a reunion album - the band haven't stopped recording and touring together in one form another for the past 18 years - bandleader Ray Lugo contends 100 Fevers is the best representation of what this Afrobeat orchestra has always been, an "eclectic mélange of influences that reflect what is going on within us as a band as well as in our lives at that particular moment" which "further expands Kokolo's search for the funkiest groove", a quest that Lugo hopes "never ends" but which he feels has benefitted by the band stepping back and "letting our sound 'breathe' a bit and return with a fresher outlook." Heads do not click in place
I got this flosser for an upcoming trip, but it is way to big. Would take up entirely too much room in my carry on. Whats more, the heads on the device do not click into place, which means it leaks and sprays all over. I took the plastic guard off one of the heads and that works better but it still leaks. I have done everything except hammer the heads in, but still, they do not click or twist into place. I cannot vouch for how well it works since I am unable to keep the heads on.

Excellent book even though not exactly what I expected
Format: Paperback
I gave this 5 stars because I think depending on what you are working on, it could be. It wasn't as helpful to me. I was hoping for something that would tell me more about what "normal" people do because I know that I learned some odd ways of thinking and behaving when I was growing up. It did help somewhat in this, but I think the title is slightly misleading.
I recommend this as one of the first books to read if you believe that there might have been something dysfunctional about the way you were raised but you are not sure what or you're just starting your exploration of those issues. It's not a "parent bashing" book, but instead a kind and compassionate book on how to get better, not blame.
Chapter 19 about perfectionism resonated with me and gave some nice tips on how to deal with it. Unfortunately, that entire chapter is just two pages long, so it's not worth buying the whole book just for that.
It's an easy read and well written, so if you're on the fence, buy it. I think you'll get something valuable out of it.
