Desert Power G10 Knife - Extremely Limited RunThe Desert Power G10 Knife starts out as a piece of 1 4" thick Ivory colored G10 (fiberglass + resin composite). Non metallic, non magnetic. It is shaped by machine and by hand into a large blade and handle. Only two of these have been made for sale, and we're probably not going to make them again. The Desert Power G10 Knife starts out as a piece of 1/4" thick Ivory-colored G10 (fiberglass + resin composite). Non-metallic, non-magnetic. It is shaped by machine and by hand into a large blade and handle. Only two of these have been made for sale, and we're probably not going to make them again.
It is approximately 11" overall with a 4.5" handle and 6.5" blade. It is sculpted for a good grip, and is ergonomic in both forward and reverse grip. The tang is made of three layers:
- Thin foam sheets glued to the tang for a springy grip, covered by...
- Waxed hemp cord wrap for grip shaping, covered by...
- Desert Tan suede-leather flat cord for comfort, style and function
The blade is chisel ground to keep a lot of "meat" in the body of the blade for stiffness. Part of the back of the blade is ground at the tip for easier penetration. It is intended to be both beautiful and dangerous.
This is not a utility blade and should not be used for box cutting or chores. A $0.30 razor blade is more suited to those tasks, but the DESERT POWER will put significant holes in things that need holes put in them like nobody's business... and look great doing it.
The DESERT POWER comes with a black Kydex sheath without any metal hardware. A double-sided velcro strap allows you to adjust the tension of the sheath on the blade, and allows you to slide a belt through it for horizontal carry. The matching suede-leather strap provides another point to lash the sheath to your belt for horizontal carry, or as a static line.
While G10 can be sharpened to a highly effective point, its edge will never be razor sharp. If you need to use it, the edge can be touched up easily on the bottom of a ceramic coffee mug, an emory board/nail file, a slab of cement, the edge of a car window or scrap of sandpaper. Reprofiling a blunted or broken tip is just as easy, or just send it back to us for a touch-up.

Great ball for limited entertainment. Replaceable outer shell is an amazing option!

Bought this for our 45lb, ball-obsessed Dutch shepherd/pit bull dog mix. I had one of these years ago with the hard shell and couldn’t be happier with the new foam shell.
The new foam shell is much quieter and while our dog might put holes in it with his teeth, he doesn’t seem to ever pull pieces off.
For engagement level, he found it VERY interesting at first and was scared to grab it, but once he got over that he started holding it in his mouth even when it shakes and just tries to keep it.
Isn’t the best for fetch or anything as he has trouble letting it go when it is actively moving, but it makes him happy while he has it. We just make sure to monitor him while it is out.
The ability to change the outer shell and just buy a replacement for the shell instead of a whole new toy is a lovely feature that makes me very happy to continue buying from this company.

Great Interactive Option

To start, I have been very happy with this purchase. A couple of key points for me are durability and being able to keep my dog's attention. I have had it for almost a year, just a month shy, and she hasn't managed to get through the foam outer shell even though she tries real hard to do so. Let's just say, she's hard to find toys for because of her habit of finding the point of failure where she can pick and gnaw at until the toy is no longer safe for her to have. With this toy, she not only found her match, but it also has her watching, waiting, and even stalking. Only one small issue has recently occurred: the motor has started having an issue where the charge doesn't hold, and it doesn't remain on afterwards. I have reached out to Cheerble directly to see about replacing it since I am still within their 12-month timeframe, and they responded right away.

Quality product for the right dog...

Honestly it's a really cool product well constructed and moves around on its own with several different modes. The design id brilliant with a tough rubber ball that unscrew to expose the element that makes it move in the middle. The dog won't be able to unscrew it but you can if you ever need to replace the ball for any reason but it would take some work for a dog to destroy the outer ball. Almost like "Kong" type material. The ball is about the size of a softball and the element inside is about the size of a golf ball. I thought my dog would love this but she was afraid of it, which is strange because she's afraid of nothing. Anyways I gave it to my neighbor upstairs and she has a yorkshire terrier who plays with it all the time so it all worked out great. Quality product . Good job!

Durability

won’t give this product 1 star because my dog still had a good time with it for a few hours. After opening and preparing it, I gave it to my dog and it definitely caught his interest. However, when he chewed on it, plastic pieces started breaking off and he began swallowing them. This product is definitely not suitable for aggressive chewers.
