In this 1929 classic, the great architect Le Corbusier turned from the design of houses to the planning of cities, surveying urban problems and venturing bold new solutions. The book shocked and thrilled a world already deep in the throes of the modern age.
Today it is revered as a work that, quite literally, helped to shape our world. Le Corbusier articulates concepts and ideas he would put to work in his city planning schemes for Algiers, S o Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Geneva, Stockholm, and Antwerp, as well as schemes for a variety of structures from a museum in Tokyo to the United Nations buildings. The influence it exerted on a new generation of architects is now legendary.
The City of To-morrow and Its Planning characterizes European cities as a chaos of poor design, inadequate housing, and inefficient transportation that grew out of the unplanned jumble of medieval cities. Developing his thesis that a great modern city can only function on a basis of strict order, Le Corbusier presents two imposing schemes for urban reconstruction -- the "Voisin" scheme for the center of Paris, and his more developed plans for the "City of Three Million Inhabitants," which envisioned, among other things, 60-story skyscrapers, set well apart, to house commercial activities, and residential housing grouped in great blocks of "villas."
For those who live in cities as well as anyone interested in their planning, here is a probing survey of the problems of modern urban life and a master architect's stimulating vision of how they might be solved, enlivened by the innovative spirit and passionate creativity that distinguished all of Le Corbusier's work.

Cute donuts. Not destroyed (yet!)
These squeaky doughnuts are really cute. It’s a bonus that it comes with two. I didn’t realize that when I ordered. I have two dogs and now they won’t fight over a doughnut just kidding one dog is 14 and doesn’t play with toys anymore. The other one is six and loves toys but for some reason he’s not really into this one maybe this will change but for now he only goes after it if I throw it, I’ll update this review to comment on durability if and when he starts playing with the toy, but for now it’s very adorable because it’s just sitting on the floor. Update: he picked one up only because I put it in front of him to take the photo!

Double the Fun
This two-pack was a really nice surprise. The toys are super cute, soft, and just the right size for carrying around, which made them an instant hit with my pup. He loves having a toy he can easily grab and parade around the house, and these are perfect for that. The plush material is soft enough to make them great comfort toys, but they also have that fun squeaky element that keeps things interesting. I like that getting two in the pack gives a little backup when one gets slobbery or needs a quick cleanup. These are better for gentle play and cuddling than for heavy chewing, but for a puppy or dog that likes soft carry-around toys, they are a great choice. Adorable, fun, and a good value for a two-pack.

Durable
This is the best dog toy I have ever bought! I got my 1st one in 2013 and it still squeaks. Admittedly, there is only one squeaker left but it still works. My dog has played with this silly snake more than any other toy she has. My friend often brings her dog when she visits and then the 2 dogs play tug-of-war with the snake. These are small dogs;, one is a pug and one is a small mixed breed that weighs about 15 pounds. They pull and tug with all their might. Even so, my first snake has no rips or tears. The only thing wrong is that most of the squeakers have given up the ghost. That's why I decided to replace snake. I don't think my pug noticed the difference. I washed it as soon as it came out of the package just to make sure there was no residual die in the fabric as I knew my dog would have it in her mouth ASAP. I don't put my dog toys in the dryer but they just have to be washed from time to time. So, all is well with snake except that he is much louder now that all of his parts work. That's the other thing, don't buy this toy if you can't stand the noise.

Dog LOVES this toy
My dog, a Husky/Carolina dog mix, LOVES squeaky toys. Probably more than me, to be honest. Any squeak sound he hears throws him into "I must destroy it" mode. So, for Christmas, I purchased him this Outward Hound Kyjen Invincibles Plush Snake. He. Went. Insane. It was love at first bite. He was squeaking and chewing it all day. However, as I figured, this toy is not invincible. He's already shredded a good portion of it. I had to vacuum up pieces. Luckily, he's never been one to swallow pieces, but I have other dogs who might, so I have to keep a watch on it. If you have a dog who eats pieces, watch them carefully. Fabric can cause blockages in the stomach or intestines of the dog. Overall, this was a great gift for my pup, and I recommend it to other humans with squeaky-toy-loving doggies.
