We are pleased to present the twenty-sixth volume of the Bhakta Bandhav Anthology, consisting of the lectures of Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja, Bhakta Bandhav Srila Gurudeva, spoken in Singapore in 1998, from February 7th to Feb 9th, as well as towards the end of the year on November 30th and December 13th. As Srila GurudevaÕs disciples and followers, we are striving to honor and please him, with this presentation of his unabridged hari-katha, in a series of volumes that will cover all of his discourses and darsanas, envisioned as a Vani-mandira, the temple of his divine words.

In the class later that day, Srila Gurudeva offered inspiring words of encouragement, stating, ÒIf you are chanting and remembering Krsna under the guidance of pure Vaisnavas, Krsna is bound to come. You should never think that, ÔI am alone, I am helpless. My husband has left me, my children have left me, my wife has left me, I am hopeless.Õ DonÕt think like this. If you will call out in this life only one time with love and affection, ÔO Krsna, I am yours,Õ Krsna is bound by that devotee. You should have a firm belief in this. DonÕt be nervous, donÕt be upset, donÕt be hopeless. I have come here only to give this message of Krsna Himself. Krsna is saying in Bhagavad-Gita, ÔYou should take My shelter.Õ Krsna is giving nectar in a golden pot. The golden pot is Gita and His teachings are nectar. Krsna is giving this, so you should take it. If anyone takes shelter of Him with his whole heart, even by words only, Krsna saves them from all worldly sufferings and sorrows.Ó

On February 9th, while speaking about the importance of chanting the mahamantra while following sadhu-sanga, Srila Gurudeva said, ÒAnyone may chant the mahamantra, but your heart will not be changed. There is some process you will have to follow by which your heart can be changed, and the sadhus know that process. That is why they can quickly change your heart, but if you will chant and remember without their guidance, it will not have so much effect. As you were before and after chanting, it may be that your attachments or your worldly desires increase. So, there is some process we will have to follow. We have to adopt that process.Ó
