Care

General Maintenance: Cut off any brown or yellow foliage as they arise. Repot when rootbound.
Temperature: Room temperatures that average 18-24ºC and no lower than 15ºC. Avoid drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Light: A good bright spot within a room without direct sunlight is advised. Too much direct sun will cause the foliage to burn. Bright or medium indirect light is advised, though they can tolerate low light.

Watering: During the growing season (May - Aug) water frequently (once the soil has dried down a few inches). Always keep the soil moist (not waterlogged). During the winter, water less frequently. Calatheas do prefer high humidity, so a pebble tray or humidifier would be beneficial.

Fertilizer: Use a balanced feed to encourage the foliage to look healthy and more attractive. Feed once a month from April - August.
Soil: Any well-draining, but moisture-retaining soil is perfect. Look for a soil that is peat or coco-coir based, but has added perlite or orchid bark for drainage.
