The difference to a body protector
Certified to the Level 2 motorcycle back protector standard EN1621-2-2014, the MotionLite back protector has been designed for circumstances when riders would not normally be wearing a full body protector, but want some protection in everyday ridden activities. Perfect for hacking, schooling, show jumping and dressage.
It is not designed as a body protector alternative - it will only protect your back and does not offer protection to ribs or against severe torsion, flexion, or extension or crushing of the body. Not intended for cross-country riding. Please refer to the user guide for more information.
MEASURING FOR A MOTIONLITE BACK LENGTH
To ensure the correct length option is chosen, measure your back length whilst sitting in the saddle- from the vertebrae directly below the C7 (prominent vertebrae at the base of your neck) down to where the back protector will finish. We recommend at least a hands-width clearance to the seat of the saddle to ensure enough clearance for a full range of movement.
