A fantastic, quirky antique brooch featuring a small fly set upon a plain bar, the fly with ruby eyes, pearl wings and a turquoise abdomen. The bug is crafted in 15ct gold whereas the pin is 9ct gold. A lovely piece which can easily be pinned to clothing or accessories.

Circa 1900.

Unmarked, pin tested as 9ct gold, bug tested as 15ct gold.

The brooch measures approximately 38.5mm long.
The fly measures approximately 16.2mm x 15.3mm.

The approximate weight is 2.5 grams.

CONDITION: In good antique condition, with some light wear commensurate with age. The pin and catch functions perfectly. One seed pearl is partially skinned.
