After watching his brother die and nearly dying from cerebral malaria, Pierre was separated from his mother and sisters and sent to a menÕs camp for the duration of the war. During those lonely, desperate years of hard labor, he risked his life daily to stay alive. Despite missing 5 years of school and nearly dying from disease and starvation, Pierre miraculously passed stringent testing and physical requirements to become a fighter pilot in the Royal Dutch Air Force. His story shows how faith can help us soar to greater heights than we can navigate on our own.
