The Spark is the most technically proficient commentary or announcers interface available, from such a small design. For applications where desk space is at a premium, but quality and features are still paramount, Glensound proudly introduce the Spark.Spark 1 - With 1 talkback channel and monior
Glensound Grade Mic Amp
The Spark includes the highly regarded Glensound Grade mic amp system. This results in a clean audio input without distortion or clipping, that can be taken live to air with confidence and without any further processing. The mic input is on the rear panel via a 3 pin XLR socket. A small pot adjusts the gain level and there is a switch for 48v phantom power. Mic gain, phantom power and the compressor can also be set via the GlenController remote software.
Glensound Referee Compressor/Limiter System
Glensound has been fine tuning the way input signals are managed for decades. Glensound boxes are used in live news and sport environments, where the announcer can get immediately over enthusiastic, and be screaming down the microphone. Glensound manage this input in two ways. One by giving the input a high headroom to prevent clipping in the first place, then by using a specially configured compressor/limiter system. This system does not affect the general dynamics of the audio, so there is no lifting of levels. It only becomes active as the signal reaches peaks and approaches clipping. Then a gentle compression is added that, in a unifron mannar, becomes harder and harder as the signal approaches clip. The result is a background system, that has no affect on the general dynamics of the input, but prevents it from clipping.
Headphones
The rear panel has a 6.35mm jack socket for connecting headphones from 32-1000 ohms. The Spark features Glensound's automatic impedance matching system. This means the relative headphone pot level will be consistent regardless of the impedance of the headphones used (as long as they are between 32-1000 ohms).
Power
Power is supplied on the network connection via an Neutrik EtherCON locking RJ45 connector. The SPARK must be connected to a PoE network switch for power, or by using a midspan PoE injector.
Talk Buttons
For clarity, the Spark uses large and bright LED buttons for mic on and talkback. These can be configured via GlenController remote software, and can be set in the following way:
- Always on
- Always off
- Always on but muted when pressed (cough button)
- Latching on
- Momentary push to talk
- Intelligent (momentary and latching)
Interaction can also be set for the talkback button, to set if the activation of this button should mute the main programme mic.
Headphone Mixer
The front panel has a small monitoring pots that are routed to the headphones from the inputs on the Dante network. These are sprung pots that are kept flush with the panel when not in use. Pressing them in slightly allows them to spring out to make adjustments, and then return to the flush position. This method allowed the functionality of pots for the monitoring input, but also allowed us to keep the overall dimensions of the Spark to a minimum.
Using the GlenController remote, a total of 4 inputs can be adjusted directly (with only two adjustable directly on the unit) and each input can be set to a separate pan position. The pots can also be set to cut at the full anti clockwise position, or just to a dim level so that the user cannot turn the monitoring input all the way off. These features are also present on the further auxiliary and background monitoring inputs.
There are 4 further inputs to the headphone monitoring that can be adjusted on Glencontroller only:
- Sidetone to adjust the users own voice level in their headphones
- Aux 1 - Mono input direct to headphones controlled only in GlenController (Aux 1&2 controlled together)
- Aux 2 - Mono input direct to headphones controlled only in GlenController (Aux 1&2 controlled together)
- Bkg - Stereo input direct to headphones controlled only in GlenController.
- HP
Routing Table
The Spark features 8 inputs and 8 outputs across the Dante network, but it only directly needs 4 inputs and outputs. This means that we have 4 inputs and 4 outputs on the network available for further use. Below we show how we utilise the I/O resource of the Spark to maximise its flexibility for various applications:
Mic/Line Input - This is the main mic/line input and can be switched to:
- The Main programme output on Dante out 1, via the top panel button
- Talkback output 1 via Dante out 5, via the top panel button or GlenController
- Talkback output 2 via Dante out 6, via GlenController only
- Talkback output 3 via Dante out 7, via GlenController only
- Permanent live output on Dante out 2
- It is also mixed via a top panel control into a two channel headphone output as sidetone monitoring.
Dante Inputs
- Cue input 1 via Dante in 1, is sent to the headphones via a front panel mix pot or GlenController
- Cue input 2 via Dante in 2, is sent to the headphones via a front panel mix pot or GlenController
- Cue input 3 via Dante in 3, is sent to the headphones via GlenController only
- Cue input 4 via Dante in 4, is sent to the headphones via GlenController only
Further Outputs
Dante out 3 and 4 - These outputs are in parallel to what is sent to the users headphones, making the 2 channel headphone mix available on the network
Dante out 8 - This is a 1kHz tone for assisting with line up
System Control
The following settings on the Spark are configurable on the unit directly:
- Master headphone volume/panning
- Mic sidetone volume/panning
- Incoming call chime volume
Using the blue side panel buttons enables configuration mode directly on the Spark.
Using the Windows 10 app GlenController enables full remote configuration and monitoring and enables the following control:
- Talk button config options
- Mic input gain/pan
- Phantom on/off
- Compressor on/off
- Pot/switch lock
- Headphone levels volume/pan
- Mic sidetone volume/pan
- Headphone monitoring pot range
- Incoming call chime volume
- PPM meter per input
Multi Channel Sync With Your Computer Application
The Spark can easily connect with a PC or Mac and exchange bi-directional multi channel audio. To do this use the Dante Virtual Sound Card (VSC). This is very low cost and available directly from the Audinate web site at www.audinate.com. The Sparks I/O can then interface with any application running on a PC or Mac by simply selecting Dante VSC as its sound device.
This has been very popular when using browser based multi channel intercom and IP solutions.
Latest Dante Broadway Design
This Broadway Design can receive audio from multiple network connections, and allows a higher number of Dante inputs and outputs across the network. The design on the Spark actually presents itself on Dante Controller with 8 inputs, and 8 outputs

Nice
Size: 3T-4T, Unit Count: 112
Good pull ups, it could get a little linty but it fits perfectly on my toddler. It stretches which I love. I do love how I could strap and unstrap the sides of the pull up. The designs on the pull up are cute. It holds a lot of pee and soaks it up very well. It’s comfortable on my toddler and the pee and poop doesn’t leak out of it. It is worth the money.

The Fast & the Curious- Potty Drift
Size: 5T-6T, Unit Count: 60
Who knew toddler potty training required both a PhD in fluid dynamics and Jedi mind tricks? These Pull-Ups prove the science part: leak-proof, absorbent, and surprisingly soft. The toddler-psychology part? That’s a battle of wills.
Our little one was a die-hard fan of Huggies diapers—too loyal, in fact. We begged, we bribed, we pleaded: “Please, let’s move on!” Resistance was fierce. So we went stealth mode, sneaking Pull-Ups on at night like parents on a covert mission.
Credit to mom—she cracked the code and finally got the kid interested in the toilet. Suddenly, the “potty rush” moments became less of a flood and more of a sprint. Diapers were too slow to peel off; Pull-Ups gave our little sprinter the speed boost they needed.
They’re soft, rash-free, and practically leak-proof (unlike that other brand we don’t speak of). Pro tip: size up for easier toddler self-removal.
The result? A drier, happier kid, less laundry for us, and the toilet finally earning MVP status. If you’re ready for your toddler to graduate from Diaper University, this is the diploma. Bonus: you’ll save money too.

Mom of 3 recommend!
Size: 5T-6T, Unit Count: 14
I'm using these again for the 3rd time and they're great as always. My 3rd is still having some issues at night time with bed wetting, and as they get older the bigger the mess, so these truly hold up to a full bladder. And they don't smell by morning like some diaper brands. I'm usually against pull ups, but these are great for up and down ease of use and that added protection when it comes to potty training. I love the bigger size inclusion for larger children which we struggle with for comfort compared to other brands.

Approved by an Overnight Registered Nurse, Has worked great last 4 years!
Item Package Quantity: 1, Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
I have worked overnight as a Registered Nurse for the last 4 of 6 years and I will offer my own experience on how these pills have helped me in my job performance. To start of with I have to say that no two human beings are the same so before I bought these pills I read the good and bad reviews and wasn't sure on the product. I've had heart palpitations in the past from excess caffeine when I drank one of the blue pop top Rock Stars with 1.5 times the caffeine as regular Rock Star and I can say that no, it's not fun at all. I've also experienced when I drink to much caffeine at once and find myself either visiting the restroom many times during a shift, or the crash that comes after the initial burst of energy. Anyways, I can say that with ONE pill a shift prior to going to work, I am able to stay awake and not in a forceful manner without the many negative effects from caffeine that I've experienced in the past. Working night shifts, I've seen how many co-workers need to chain drink coffee all night. I can't say that I don't like coffee, but I don't drink it more than once a week and I prefer not too if I have the chance. This is why I am glad that the Guarana Energizer has worked for me. I am able to be more alert all shift long, not have to struggle with energy or struggle with staying awake, and when I get home I not too wired where I have a hard time going to sleep. On my days off it also works as an excellent energy booster for the mornings to get your energy level going for your day ahead. Also, I've tried other guarana pills when the Source Naturals were no longer in stock (same 900 mg strength), and I have to say that I had to take more than 2 pills per shift to keep me awake, plus they never lasted a full shift. Don't know why the "energizer" term makes a difference, but it does for me. I recommend it to all my co-workers, and when they feel low on energy I've seen that even 1/2 a tab is sufficient for a little pick me up especially for those sensitive to caffeine.

The best guarana I've used - helped me kick energy drinks!
Item Package Quantity: 1, Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
I suppose I ought to stand in front of a group of people, and admit to being a caffeine addict. However, I rather like caffeine. I started in on caffeine at an early age- first by drinking soda- mostly cola- as often as my parents would allow. As a teenager, I discovered coffee. Later, it was espresso drinks- I loved a good quad-shot latte, and eventually was getting several a day. A few years ago, my stomach stopped agreeing with coffee as much, so I switched to energy drinks. I was drinking about 4 Rockstars a day.
After doing the math, I realized that I was spending around $300 a month on these silly beverages. To economize, I switched to No-Doz. However, it wasn't the same, and it honestly felt... unnatural. The No-Doz sometimes aggravated my stomach, and I just didn't feel as well. Then I tried Guarana, as it is one of the main functional ingredients in many energy drinks. Love it. It seems to last a bit longer (it could be my imagination there, I am unsure), and it definitely feels more natural. I take a few of these per day- and I seem to have less of a "caffeine crash" after 4 hours or so than I once did. It still happens, but it's more gentle.
My only complaint is that the pills are rather large- definitely a chore to swallow!
Bottom line- this stuff costs just a bit more than a bottle of No-Doz, and is made from natural stuff. It feels healthier, and probably is. I now spend in a month wha I spent in a day on energy drinks. Also- for what it's worth- I've tried other brands of guarana, and this one "feels" best.
