Both the front and back of this feeder have openings for birds to feed, with a metal perch creating a resting spot. Adjustable springs on each side of the mini bird feeder may be set to accommodate birds up to 2 ounces, from 2 to 4 ounces, or for animals 4 ounces or larger. When an animal heavier than the set weight lands on the perch, the Absolute II Mini Bird Feeder pulls the metal cover over the seed openings to protect the feed. Plastic windows above the ports keep seed levels visible, and the raised baffle in the center of the reservoir keeps it moving to the openings, preventing mold.
