These sculptural little trees bring serious bonsai energy without the high-maintenance stress. Polyscias—often nicknamed “Aralia” in the plant world—are tropical shrubs with upright growth, woody stems, and lush foliage that varies by variety (Fabian, Ming, Balfour, and more). Each one comes pre-shaped in a bonsai style, making them ideal for adding instant character to your indoor jungle. Supplied in 12cm nursery pots.

Plant Care
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Too much sun can crisp the edges, but too little will cause leaf drop. A few feet back from a window is perfect.

Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Let the top 2cm dry out between waterings. Avoid letting it sit dry too long—this one likes consistency.

Temperature: Thrives in 18–26°C. Hates cold air—keep away from draughts, open windows, or chilly conservatories.

Potting: Our Sandy Loam mix is perfect—free-draining, lightly structured, and just right for woody-rooted tropicals like these.

Hot tips: Polyscias love stability. Once they’ve settled into a spot, try not to move them around too much. They appreciate a little humidity—especially in winter—so group with other plants or add a pebble tray to boost the air moisture.

Pet safe: Some Polyscias varieties are and some are mildly toxic. If you have a plant nibbling fur baby then best to keep this one out of reach.

Entertaining, informative, without being overwhelming.
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
Got it for, basically, half-off standard retail. At that price, it's a fine addition to the WWII library. Some interesting information displayed in a mostly entertaining way. I get that battle maps are always a challenge (maps are static - battles are dynamic). This does a fairly adequate job - better than most battle maps - though far from groundbreaking. item arrived well packed - no issues with binding (as some others seem to report). Though the book overall is a bit "warped" and several of the maps are mis-printed or mis-cut as to make them unusable. 3 bad out of 300 - not horrible - again at the price I paid. If the subject interest you - I'd suggest getting - but not a "must have".
