The Out Of Towners is the final recording by the Hickoids featuring Austin punk legend and guitarist Davy Jones. Jones played every major and minor venue in the city from the late '70's until cancer sidelined him in 2014 with a list of bands that included The Next, Bigfoot Chester, The Dicks and others in addition to the Hickoids. Jones was inducted to The Austin Music Hall of Fame three different times, the last being under his own name in 2016. The collection of covers written by Texas artists including Willie Nelson, Roky Erickson, Terry Allen and Doug Sahm was recorded while Jones was gravely ill but still showcases his rough and tumble, off-the-wall guitar stylings and will be of interest to anyone who favors the underground side of Texas Music. This is a limited edition of only 400 copi9es pressed on 140 gram sturdy black American vinyl (as it should be).

Good for a quick backdrop
This works well for what I needed – a simple background for my kids’ online school. It’s lightweight and very easy to put together, and it stands up fine without needing to mount anything.
The color is listed as black, but it’s more of a dark gray in person. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. It’s not super heavy duty, but it does the job for privacy and as a video backdrop.
Overall, a good, portable divider that’s quick to set up and works well for light use.
