Dendrobium HibikiThis highly popular and easy to grow primary hybrid, is a cross between Dend. bracteosum x Dend. laevifolium. It is prized for its extremely compact size and its ability to flower frequently, often year round. Light: Bright Light. Very bright, indirect light is necessary for best blooming and color. Avoid harsh midday sun. Temperature: Intermediate to Warm. Day: 65 85F (18 29C). Tolerates a wide range and does not require a cool winter rest period.
This highly popular and easy-to-grow primary hybrid, is a cross between Dend. bracteosum x Dend. laevifolium. It is prized for its extremely compact size and its ability to flower frequently, often year-round.
- Light: Bright Light. Very bright, indirect light is necessary for best blooming and color. Avoid harsh midday sun.
- Temperature: Intermediate to Warm. Day: 65-85°F (18-29°C). Tolerates a wide range and does not require a cool winter rest period.
- Humidity: Moderate to High (50-70%). This plant is resilient, but good air circulation is important.
- Watering: Just before dry. Allow the potting medium to dry slightly between waterings. Water generously when actively growing, but roots should not stay completely dry.
Additional Notes
A favorite for its vibrant, long-lasting blooms (lasting 2-6 months) that emerge in clusters from the nodes of both old and new canes. The plant remains very compact, usually only 4-6" (10-15cm) tall at maturity, making it an excellent windowsill orchid
