Blume present the first ever reissue of Winfried Mühlum-Pyrápheros's Musica Nova Contemplativa, originally released in 1970. This stunning artifact of it's era has, until now, remained among the rarest artifacts in the field of cross-disciplinary efforts known as the Artist Record: sonic adventures embarked on by artists primarily dedicated to the visual realm. Creatively challenging, ahead of it's time, and unquestionably beautiful, it's rare musicality sets the stage for alternate understandings of what minimalism was and came from, during it's early years. Droning and tense, subtle melodic elements underpin sheets of tone and atonality, sculpting an incongruous sense of spatial ambience; the concept of Musica Nova Contemplativa drew on a unique, unfixed compositional system created by combining traditional musical notation with mobile and variable elements, expressed graphically as a system of coordinates which leave variation, interpretation, and improvisation up to the performer. Captured as eleven distinct movements, the work, in hindsight, can now be understood as a lost, freestanding work of musical minimalism, echoing idiomatic roots in Fluxus and the raw temperaments of artists like Tony Conrad and Henry Flynt, threaded with touchstones in the work of Eliane Radigue, Giacinto Scelsi, and Jani Christou. Born in Germany during 1941 and educated in philosophy and psychology, over the last half century the bulk of Winfried Mühlum-Pyrápheros's artistic output has been largely oriented around painting, sculpture, and installation, each focused on the experiences of phenomena, environment, and light. Musica Nova Contemplativa was composed in 1964 as a graphic score, then it was interpreted and recorded by Mühlum-Pyrápheros on violin and Johann Georg Ickler on organ three years later in a Franciscan church in Bensheim as is a logical extension of the artists broader concerns: seeking further territories of inclusive and expansive environments of experience. Intended as acoustic extensions of his paintings, the collective contents of the album are a metaphysical and esoteric rising in sound. Out-of-print for almost 50 years, this edition represents it's first ever reissue in any form, complete with an interview between Winfried Mühlum-Pyrápheros and Stefan Bremer conducted for the occasion of this reissue, and newly commissioned liner notes by Bradford Bailey. Includes printed inner sleeve and an original insert that functions as obi; Edition of 300.

Nice product
Color: Gold-aa
when having guests over, it's nice for each one to use their own towel instead of having a 'community' guest towel, or those fancy ones that people feel guilty using. This solved the problem.

Poem by Luci Shaw and Illustrated by Ned Bustard
Format: Hardcover
A wonderful book for all ages! Thank you to InterVarsity Press, Luci Shaw, and Ned Bustard. The book ends with A Note from the Author. Luci Shaw writes, "And if this book inspires children to write their own poem or story, or create some art, both Ned and I would be so very pleased!" Thank you.

Colorful and Vivid
Format: Hardcover
This picture book features vivid cut-paper illustrations that visualize the concrete images in the poetic text. I found aspects of the poem abstract enough that I'm not sure if young children would connect with it, but they can enjoy the rhythmic language and emphasis on phonic sounds related to the letter "O," even if some of the abstract thought is beyond them. The vivid and colorful pages will definitely appeal to both children and adults, and the book has a nice message about hope and God's love. Throughout the book, the letter "O" appears in different colors, and the note at the beginning of the book encourages children to find things in the illustration that start with that letter. Children could also count how many times the letter appears in the text. This would be a great choice for Christian families, churches, and Christian preschools, and would combine very well with a cut-paper craft for kids to do. The author's note also includes some open-ended discussion questions that adults can use with children.

Our Creative Designer Invites Us to Hope Fully in Him
Format: Kindle
Because I’m spending time now in the public schools, I’m seeing how desperately our children need an infusion of hope, so I’m thrilled to share an InterVarsity Press collaboration between poet Luci Shaw and illustrator Ned Bustard in which hope and joy meet. Little meaning-makers will be entertained by whimsical images and then gently introduced to our safe haven of hope, “the center of the loving heart of God.” The O in Hope grows up with your child, for toddlers can point to the multicolored O‘s on each page while older children identify the O words and play I SPY in search of critters beginning with the letter O. Both poetry and hope are meant to be spoken out loud, so wise parents who are determined to “hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering” will find strong support in words and images that point to the creative Designer whose faithfulness invites us to hope fully in him. Many thanks to IVP Kids for providing a copy of this book to facilitate my review, which is, of course, offered freely and with honesty.
