- TRAVEL THE FAMED TOKAIDO ROAD: Welcome to the Tokaido, the legendary East Sea Road connecting Kyoto to Edo, in Japan. In Tokaido, each player is a traveler crossing the "East Sea Road", one of the most magnificent roads of Japan. Here you will begin an extraordinary journey during which you will discover a thousand marvels.
- SET COLLECTION: While traveling, you will meet people, taste fine meals, collect beautiful items, discover great panoramas and visit temples and wild places but at the end of the day, when everyone has arrived at the end of the road you'll have to be the most initiated traveler – which means that you'll have to be the one who discovered the most interesting and varied things.
- STRATEGY BOARD GAME: Action spaces are laid out on a linear track with players advancing down this track to take actions. Players must choose whether to advance slowly along the track in order to get more turns or to travel more rapidly to beat other players to their desired action spaces.
- STONEMAIER VERSION: Our version includes an Automa solo mode, expanding the player count to 1-5 players. Our verision also includes component quality upgrades, a revised rulebook (the gameplay is the same), reference cards, and adds some text on cards and character tiles to accompnay the icons.
- WONDERFULLY DESIGNED AND ILLUSTRATED: Light-weight, elegant, and zen worker placement strategy game created by Antoine Bauza (7 Wonders, Takenoko). Beautifully illustrated by Naïade (Seasons).
- A PEACEFUL EXPERIENCE FOR ALL: With simple actions and a unique graphic design, Tokaido offers players a peaceful zen mood in its play. - THEMATICALLY DESIGNED MECHANISMS: Traveling along the busy Tokaido road, you will need to stop at Inns along the way and get some food, you may need to take a break from your travels to work on a farm for some extra money, and you’ll want to collect souvenirs for friends and family back home. All of these elements are richly apparent in the design for Tokaido.

Fun toy but not as durable as I hoped.

I just rescued a dog from the shelter. She is super sweet and playful but she loves to chew her toys so I needed to buy her ones more durable to play with. This toy caught my eye but I was concerned that it might be too large for my small 7 pound terrier mix. After receiving it, I really loved the colors and the way it looked and my dog loves playing with it. Everything about it is great except that within a few weeks of playing with it, she already managed to make a small tear in it. It's not to the point where I would take it away from her toy box but I just wish it was more durable.

Durable

We’ve had it for awhile now and it’s still (mostly) in one piece. Has held up well for our heavy chewing puppy. It lost a tentacle but that’s nothing compared to the level of destruction our dog has put other toys through in much shorter amounts of time. Recommend for heavy chewers and will likely buy again!

Not large

This is a lot smaller than it appears in pictures. I was going to give it to a large dog but I’m worried it would be a choking hazard. instead I’m going to give it to a pug. Seems fine quality wise just not “large”

Absolutely EXCELLENT customer service

This little guy is so freaking cute and is very well made. The squeak is loud but not overly so, and the construction is really sturdy. Itis stuffed well enough it can be thrown for an impromptu game of fetch. I imagine, if you are a dog, it would be fun to chew on all the different tentacles and drag all over the place.
I ordered it as a gift for my brother's pit bull, in the full knowledge it wouldn't survive the holidays, but hoping. Sadly, when it arrived it was so small! Definitely too small for such a big boy, and not even large enough for my kid's rottie/collie mix. So I did what you do in these situations: I initiated a return, stating my issue in the appropriate place
To my utter shock, an hour later I had been issued a full refund with the reason they listed being they had sent me the wrong item. I do not even have to send the toy back! I didn't ask for this; it didn't occur to me to even consider it. They just did it on their own. Which is why, despite the item I received being too small, made me want to run over here and leave a great review
To make sure the toy finds a loving home with a little woofer, we'll be donating it to one of the smaller local shelters. I'm sure it will be very happy with its new family
