The Z-Spoon's smooth vibrations gently awaken the mouth, enhancing awareness, assisting with oral aversions, and delivering oral motor stimulation to the lips, tongue, cheeks, and jaw. An invaluable addition to any sensory mealtime treatment plan.
Each Z-Spoon set includes one vibratory handle (Z-Vibe) and one Spoon Tip.
The textured surface around the handle ensures a secure, slip-resistant grip, while also offering the versatility to be brushed along the cheeks, arms, hands, and more for added tactile input. To activate the unit, simply twist the Switch Tip just until the device begins to vibrate (please avoid overtightening).
Manufactured in the USA to medical grade standards, the Z-Spoon is FDA compliant and free from lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, and latex. The device measures approximately 18.4 cm in length and less than 1.3 cm in diameter. The Spoon Tip, specifically designed for children up to roughly 2.5 years of age depending on mouth size, measures 1.9 cm wide. A battery is included with the Z-Spoon, but please note that this is a specialised Z-Vibe Battery not readily available in shops; we recommend purchasing a spare.
Caution: the Z-Spoon is NOT a toy. It is a therapeutic tool intended to be used by a professional therapist (or by parents trained by their therapist). It contains small parts (including a battery) that may pose a choking hazard: direct adult supervision is required at all times.
