Souffle Continu Records present the first every vinyl reissue of Michel Roques's Chorus, originally released in 1972. Although his albums are full of the same qualities as those of many other star saxophonists/flutists playing spiritual jazz, Frenchman Michel Roques is often classed as a "supporting artist" or a "musicians' musician", forever in the background, and often left out of the reference books. Adding to this lack of recognition is the fact that Michel Roques was seriously under-recorded: five albums as leader in a career of almost twenty years does not amount to much! Thankfully, in 1972, Pierre Barouh, boss of Saravah, records made up for the injustice by offering him the opportunity to record Chorus in studio, providing a continuity with the equally brilliant Safari made four years earlier (1969). An ambitious work, Chorus owes much to the unusual "augmented" rhythm section, the inner structure of which is none other than that used in the Parisian trio of pianist Mal Waldron at the end of the 1960s: namely Patrice Caratini on bass (completed by the cello of the amazing Jean-Charles Capon) and Franco Manzecchi on drums (seconded by the percussion of Humberto Canto). Another notable singularity is that Michel Roques had the excellent idea of excluding the piano, traditionally employed in this kind of context. This didn't prevent Chorus from being played on French TV in 1973 with a piano replacing the cello, and a different voice reciting the beat-style poems of Nicole Roques, that of actor Jacques Degor, occasional collaborator with Jef Gilson, but far less convincing than Bachir Touré, wisely chosen for this recording for his style inherited from Afro-American preachers and capable of holding his own with the wild improvisations. In it's own way, Chorus is one of the key albums mixing free jazz and spoken word "à la française". It is also a militant concept album which has lost nothing of it's political force. Transforming Space: A Tale of Two Stunning Room Dividers

The four-panel screen room divider is absolutely stunning!
Unfortunately, the first one the FedEx driver delivered ended up at the wrong address.
After notifying Amazon, they promptly sent me a “replacement” room divider through UPS, which arrived right on schedule.
Now, I find myself with two beautiful dividers! They both enhance the aesthetic of my home.
I informed Amazon that my first room divider magically appeared today in my building’s lobby.
I’ve placed one of the new screen dividers in front of an old one, and the modern Roundhill divider really makes my older piece look outdated!
The Roundhill screen divider is sleek, bold, and refreshing—I’m in love with it.
The second divider serves a practical purpose by hiding my bulky grocery cart, fan, and vacuum cleaner.
These items used to clutter my living room closet, making it difficult to access due to the abundance of coats I had stuffed in there.
Now, all those items are neatly tucked away behind the elegant Roundhill four-panel screen divider, bringing a sense of order to my space.

Beautiful, Sturdy, Well Made, good Value for the money

I don’t know what the bad reviews are about. This is a beautiful, well made 4 panel screen. The screen print appears to be a standard print that is likely the same on every screen they produce (not hand painted by two different people). It is beautiful. Everything about it, including the colors and the screen print image on rice paper, is more lovely than the photos. The wooden frame (black) is solid and sturdy. The hinges are stable and well positioned. When people say lightweight it sounds misleading. It is lightweight enough to easily maneuver but this four panel screen is sturdy and stable. It is slim and tall so someone could conceivably bump into it and jostle it. But no more so than any number of other items in one’s home. I highly recommend this beautiful, lovely, fine piece of home decor. I purchased this as a divider between my work station (office) and my living room. Also, even though there was a slight dent in the package when it was delivered, it wasn’t a deep enough gash to damage the screen. When I pulled the screen from the box my first thought was just how study it is. So very pleased with this purchase.

Beautiful Room Divider

This room divider is so beautiful and elegant yet very functional, study and very well made!
I have had many compliments on its beauty and elegance.
They have said it is much nicer than blurring my background. Which affects how you look on a teleconferencing meeting.
I do zoom meetings at times for my religious meetings when I cannot go in person!
And this is exactly what I have needed to obscure my private bedroom space.
The size is perfect for my size desk. It covers completely the whole area not showing any of my bedroom to the public.
When not in use I fold it up and put it away. It is lightweight and very easy to move around. The height doesn’t make it awkward to move and yet tall enough to obscure my whole background.
MORE IMPORTANTLY~NO ASSEMBLY NECESSARY ‼️
You will not be at one moment disappointed by this purchase instead you will love it!💖💕💖
