Myths tell us much about a people. And all cultures have creation myths. The myths collected by the author in this book tell us about the rich and varied lives and imagination of the first Americans. They vary from simple to complex and all attempt to answer the question of human origin. Native Americans are of profound beginnings. Each Tribe, Group or Pueblo hold their beginning to be truths, unique from one another. The beliefs in this book are only a sampling of the many that still exist today. "In collecting these tales," the author says, "no tape recorder was used and no notes were taken during the telling. Immediately after the session copious notes were taken and later expanded into a recreation of the myth. Subjects were located through word of mouth and after a short time people started coming forward and volunteering their stories. The people hold the stories. May they continue to tell and share with their families, communities, and the outsiders. We have much to learn from Creation, from each other, and from the holders of the stories." TERESA PIJOAN was raised on the San Juan Pueblo Indian Reservation in New Mexico and later her family moved to the Nambe Indian Reservation. She is a national lecturer, storyteller, research writer, college professor, and teacher. She has lectured throughout Central Europe, Mexico, and the United States.Binding Type: Paperback

Standing Up for Joy Even When You Dont Feel Like it!
Format: Kindle
Admittedly, i wanted this to be a faster read. I could point my finger at the author, but rather I recognized that God wanted it slow. Just for me. To give me option to savor and hear what He had to say to me about being resilient. And that He is the reason I am resilient.
If you're stuck in your head, stuck in the dark, stuck in a bad relationship (work or home), cant see the way forward, I invite you to pause and sit with this very good read!

Great quality at an unbeatable price!
I was a little worried that this would be cheap quality, but it's not. It's sturdy, modern and fits perfectly under my bathroom sink. I use it to hold my washcloths that I use to clean my face. It's the best way to store them so that they can air dry and not look gross and soggy out on my counter, lol. Love this product so much that I intend to purchase one for my kitchen, just wanted to check the quality first. I'm sure that I'll have this for years to come, such a great purchase!

Excellent cabinet towel rack.
I had no doubt that this item had to be good from the moment I saw the detailed pictures of it on Amazon. The item is built very well out of stainless steel and adjusts easily to fit the cabinet door in the kitchen. I am so impressed by the way it is working. I can hang 6 different wash clothes/towels on it and not have to have them clutter the sink area. I am very impressed by this item. The fact that it adjusts in length also means that I can get the most use out of it.

Can easily hide towels
Works nicely. I have it mounted with towels hanging on the inside of my cabinet so you see only the small hooks on the outside of the cabinet door. It extends nicely and has ample room for one towel folded in half on each bar; you would have to fold each towel again to get 2 side by side. Only minor issue the hooks extend over the door a little lower than I'd like and they are beveled outward on the bottom so you see this on the outside. I have a similar design single bar rack with smaller less noticeable hooks. Neither one is completely invisible but at least I can hide the towels and not cover up my new beautiful stainless range or cabinets with towels. Worth the money.
