Once fired correctly the ware will be sealed and protected from moisture discolouration caused by contact with food and liquids. Chrysanthos Stoneware Clear is a high gloss transparent glaze for use on bisque-fired clay that has been painted with underglazes, or simply over undecorated clay to show off its natural colour. Once fired correctly the ware will be sealed and protected from moisture / discolouration caused by contact with food and liquids.

SW157 STONEWARE CLEAR

  • Firing range between Cone 6 (1,222°C) – Cone 10 (1,305°C).

  • Gloss finish.

  • Food safe.
  • Apply 3 even coats of glaze with a soft brush. Ensure each coat is dry before applying subsequent coats at right angles to each other.

  • May also be sponged, sprayed and thinned with clean water if necessary to improve glaze flow.

  • This glaze will fire transparent. The coloured appearance is intended to assist application by highlighting which areas have been glazed. 

  • Always refer to the bottle for all hazards and safety instructions.

The right tool for the job.

This is the tool you want. It is exceptionally functional, well made (made in the USA, if that matters to you), and beautiful in the way that quality tools are. The thing that really sets this tool apart is that it correctly balances form vs. function: a heavy duty build (as is the point when buying a bottle opener built by a tool company) without its use as a bottle opener (as is the point when buying ANY bottle opener) being negatively impacted by said build. I also bought the Craftsman bottle cap wrench, which, in my opinion, is hugely successful as feeling like a heavy duty tool and something of a failure as a bottle opener. It's so large and heavy, it has equal mass to the bottle you're opening. Imagine your buddy who has had one too many wielding a 12 oz. steel wrench over your tile floor, countertop, toes, etc. and you'll get the idea. Lastly, the engraving and materials on this Klein tool are so attractive I had to build it a custom wall mount instead of hiding it away in a drawer or tool chest. I will be buying a second for the office.
