Glass s music, however, came off as indeed farsighted. Originally a pure modern contrapuntalist, he has come to resemble Bruckner, himself a master of counterpoint. Glass s symphonies there are now 11 have been the primary means for him to try out new uses for vertical harmony and an increasingly expansive expressive language... The new concerto is close in form and style to the current symphonies, especially the excellent No. 11 which premiered earlier this year. In concept, the concerto is a companion to the Concerto for Two Pianos, heard from the New York Philharmonic last week, and likewise an embodiment of Glass s stated interest in putting the piano into conversation rather than opposition with the orchestra. In method, the piece was full of new ideas. There were the familiar rocking tremolos and repeated cadences, but there was also music that had an atypical sense of uncertainty chord changes and harmonic rhythms that not only moved in surprising directions but that drifted off without coming to the resolute orderliness that marks Glass. Many of the cadences were new in his work as well, his insistent language using a new vocabulary. There are four cadenzas interspersed among the three movements, and while they don t share the heroic profiles of the common concerto, they did display Dinnerstein s artistry. Glass wrote this work specifically for her, after hearing her play his work and Schubert in his home, and his own thinking and playing were clearly in deep sympathy with each other. The cadenzas are beautiful, expressive music inside a concerto that itself is beautiful and dramatically expressive, the shape pointing toward heightened moments of realization and resolution. In the performance, the feeling was romantic in the way of revealing personal truths, and Dinnerstein sounded deeply touched by the music flowing through her hands. This was a marvelous performance of a marvelous new work. -New York Classical Review

10 minutes
Color: Brown, Pattern Name: Active Toy
Tough toy for a big dog however, cannot say indestructible! Lasted 10 minutes until squeaker and stuffing were “gutted” from the toy. The ropes were intact long after the body of toy was ripped in half.

Indestructible? Pretty much! I’m very happy with this toy.
Color: Printed, Pattern Name: Giraffe
The only thing that wasn’t indestructible was the elastic band inside must have stretched too far. Otherwise, it seems to be indestructible. Usually a toy lasts about 5 minutes. We have had it a month and I have even washed it in the washer and it still looks new.

Not “indestructible” enough for my pup
Color: Printed, Pattern Name: Giraffe
My pup loves the toy but it is far from indestructible. Only took him 72 hours to rip the ears off & destroy the springy neck part of the toy. So although he enjoyed destroying it, It’s no longer safe for him to play with. For added context, he’s a little over a year old, 50pound, golden doodle puppy. He’s been going through a destructive phase for the last 7 months so this is like toy #30 thats failed it’s “indestructible” claims. The search for a indestructible toy continues!

Power Chewer Loves This!
Size: Medium, Color: Antler
This is my dog's new favorite chew! She loves that she can hold it in her paws. I think she really loves the taste and texture of it. I don't give her antlers as I have heard too many horror stories about broken teeth. I also don't give her nylon toys as I have also heard a lot of horror stories of broken teeth as well as concerns about them digesting the plastic. This is between antlers and bully sticks, which is perfect for a power chewer. I feel comfortable with her eating the pieces that flake off this toy. She loves chewing and she will default to this toy when she wants to help calm down. I don't notice much of a smell. It does flake, but not enough I will even take a star off. Plus, it's plant based and vacuums up easily once dried. It doesn't capture her attention as much as bully sticks or beef cheek chews, but it's much less expensive over time and doesn't stink up our living room! She will also always pick this over any of her rubber chews. Great product and recommend it for all the power chewers.
