HobbyBoss 1/35 Russian Ba-3 Armored Car 83838BA 3 was an armored car developed by the former Soviet Union in 1933, and later developed BA 6 in 1936. Both armored vehicles are based on the BA 1 and use a new turret, which is also used on the T 26 Mod 1933 and BT 5 light tanks , equipped with a 45 mm main gun. By the end of production in 1935, about 180 BA 3s had been built. The BA 3 is mostly based on Ford's Timken truck chassis, which is a 64 truck chassis developed from the American Ford AA 42

The BA-3 is mostly based on Ford's Timken truck chassis, which is a 6×4 truck chassis developed from the American Ford AA 4×2 truck, but the last batch of BA-3 used this truck The USSR licensed production GAZ-AAA chassis, and the BA-6 will continue to use the GAZ-AAA chassis. The biggest drawback of BA -3 is the maneuverability, because the weight is too heavy, and the off-road ability on unpaved roads or land is limited. Subsequent improvements have been made to this point, and a special track can be put on the rear wheel and converted into a semi-tracked vehicle.
