Photos

The first 17 photos are from after cleaning/polishing.  The remainder are from condition upon arrival here.

Condition

Excellent mechanical condition, very good hand slide action, clean and smooth, no dents or damage, well maintained.  Bell is unlacquered and left in its natural patina.  Remainder of horn is lacquered with some wear at neckpipe, F rotor cap and hand braces.  Bell is hand polished, so a few remnants of lacquer or tarnish remain, but it's generally shiny now.  Bell section and rotors were cleaned by Charles Hargett.

One threaded B leadpipe is included with the dual bore hand slide.  Some wear is evident at the braces and on the inside curve of the slide crook - that's the location a Ralph Sauer slide stiffening brace was positioned.

The second rotor paddle is shorter than we expect and to be located in the normal place, only one pinch bolt for the paddle engages the linkage arm  It works fine.  Jeff learned to play it set up shorter by routing his finger above the upper hand slide brace rather than below as we usually do.  I remember Doug Yeo writing about a similar grip he used for his own instrument.  It didn't work for me.  Now the paddle is in the right place.  I also made an adjustment to the first paddle, fixed a crack and had it replated.  Now you get a worthy comfortable grip on this very nice trombone.

Includes Conn hard case, sold without mouthpiece.  We recommend a Minick replica mouthpiece like Ferguson L or JR (yes this JR).

Nice and Simple - but big
Style: 4-Tier Shelf Brackets, Hardware Only.
Nice product, very simple in reality. All screws together. Shelves are probably 12inches high - higher than I wanted so I won't be using it after all - but that is my fault for not realizing how vertically spaced the shelves would be. The unit takes up a lot of vertical wall space. My only dislike (hence the -1 rating) is the large stamped letters on every wall mounting plate. The letters don't appear to mean anything, and are very large and upraised - to me they detract from the overall appearance of the unit. The letters are not possible to get rid of without a grinder or significant file-work and repainting everything (not worth the significant effort that would entail).

Demasiado pesado
Style: 4-Tier Shelf Brackets, Hardware Only.
No me gustó , además de ser muy complejo para armar , es demasiado pesado , es para paredes bien fuerte ya que requiere muchos tornillos

Perfect
Size: 16 Inch
Exactly what I ordered, took just a few minutes to assemble and mount the legs. Love that the bottoms can be manipulated to give a balanced stance.
