A lone inventor and the story of how one of the most revolutionary inventions of the twentieth century almost didn't happen.
Introduced in 1960, the first plain-paper office copier is unusual among major high-technology inventions in that its central process was conceived by a single person. Chester Carlson grew up in unspeakable poverty, worked his way through junior college and the California Institute of Technology, and made his discovery in solitude in the depths of the Great Depression. He offered his big idea to two dozen major corporations -- among them IBM, RCA, and General Electric -- all of which turned him down. So persistent was this failure of capitalistic vision that by the time the Xerox 914 was manufactured, by an obscure photographic-supply company in Rochester, New York, Carlson's original patent had expired.
Xerography was so unusual and nonintuitive that it conceivably could have been overlooked entirely. Scientists who visited the drafty warehouses where the first machines were built sometimes doubted that Carlson's invention was even theoretically feasible. Building the first plain-paper office copier -- with parts scrounged from junkyards, cleaning brushes made of hand-sewn rabbit fur, and a built-in fire extinguisher -- required the persistence, courage, and imagination of an extraordinary group of physicists, engineers, and corporate executives whose story has never before been fully told.
Copies in Seconds is a tale of corporate innovation and risk-taking at its very best.

My dog loves this toy and she hasn’t chewed it up yet.
Size: Medium
This is a good chew toy for my aggressive chewer. I bought the large size for my medium size dog.

My Samoyed loved this!
Size: Medium
My dog’s favorite thing. This is his 4th toy and he loves it. The quality is great and it lasts very long. Definitely worth every penny you spend. It keeps my samoyed engaged every morning and every night. There is no choke hazard, so all dogs can use it

Long lasting
Size: Medium
My dogs love these and they last pretty long. I take them away when they get very small so I think they’re pretty safe.

Meant for bigger dogs than mine
Size: Small
I bought this for my 10 month old pup who’s a VERY aggressive chewer. I’m going to say this is made for a large, older (than mine) dog. She tried to chew a couple times but eventually just walked away from it when I offered it to her and she had only made a few scratches in it. If you have that bigger dog that’s an aggressive chewer, it would be a good value for your money and will keep the engagement high for a long time with its heavy duty quality.

Finally… a dog chew that doesn’t become a homemade prison shank
Size: Medium
My dog has a real talent: turning every “tough chew” into a sharp, weaponized shard that could star in an episode of Locked Up: Canine Edition. But THIS chew? Absolute game changer. For the first time ever, I can relax—no splinters, no pointy edges, no fear he’s secretly crafting a shiv under the couch. Just happy, safe chewing that actually lasts longer than five minutes. It’s durable, it’s safe, it keeps him busy, and I no longer feel like I’m living with a furry little inmate planning an escape. Highly recommend if your dog chews like he’s got nothing but time.
