Sparks had contacts to Europe, to New Rose Records in France, and they really wanted an album by the Texas Mavericks. So they went into a studio and recorded one. It was titled "Who Are These Masked Men?" At that time Doug wanted to be somebody else, so they put on masks and made up some fantasy names. Thanks to his good contacts in Europe Sahm booked a European tour parallel to the album release, which also brought the quintet to Germany in 1987. "I do remember that we played in Hamburg, Berlin, Stuttgart, Bremen and probably several other cities. Mostly it was clubs and smaller halls - just the right size for this kind of music and we really enjoyed it." At that time Mike Buck sat at the drums because Frosty Smith did not want to tour. "I did not have a clue that Radio Bremen had recorded our show - I only know since the summer of 2016 when I was listening to the recordings for the first time," Sparks reveals. "And I am thrilled with it - I like these recordings better by far than the studio recordings because they have captured all what it was about in the band at that time: pure energy, enthusiasm and simply class." After the visit in Germany the chapter Texas Mavericks within the history of Doug Sahm was soon finished again. After all, the re-release of "Who Are These Masked Men?" with the Bremen concert as bonus CD brings back the memory of the man that many regard as the forefather of the Tex Mex scene.

Perfect Pillow!

I have spent so much money trying to find the right pillow. As a side sleeper I would always wake up with a stiff neck but not with this pillow! It’s a perfect height and the pillow stays fairly cool. It’s totally my Goldilocks pillow!❤️

Great!
This SUPA MODERN Reading Pillow is absolutely what I have been searching for. I added a thick mattress topper to my twin bed and suddenly the wedge pillow I had was below the top of the mattress so I needed something else to put against the rails at the head. This reading pillow is almost exactly the same width as this standard twin.
The pillow was shipped vacuum packed and looked so lumpy I was fearful it would never be comfortable but I followed the instructions and left it alone except for an occasional shake to fluff it for 72 hours. As often as I get stuff that’s vacuum packed I was still amazed by how this turned out. It’s very full and firm I’m sure some folks will like that you can remove some of the filler to soften it but I find it very comfortable as is. The shape does give it a little more lumbar support than similar pillows I have had in the past. The fabric cover is super soft but has yet to make me overheat. It does have pockets on the arms but they’re not very big I wouldn’t put much in there I was worried about falling.
This is not the cheapest reading pillow but it’s far and away not the most expensive. As I was writing this review I saw that it has been marked down 20% PLUS there’s a 30% off coupon. That puts it down around the cheapest price point for a far superior pillow. Go get one NOW!!!

Great pillow to relax with.
I ordered this pillow specifically, so my son has something to sit against when he comes to work with me. He absolutely loves it, the pockets are great, it provides enough comfort and support for him to play his video games and read while I get things done.
It does need a couple of days to fully settle and puff up, and there is a bit of a smell as there is with most pillows that have this time of filling and are smooshed and wrapped in plastic. That smell goes away in the couple of days it takes for the pillow to fully expand.
This pillow is great for lounging, kids sitting on the floor watching movies, to using it in bed to sit up and read, play video games or study. It also would work really well for deeper couches and shorter people. I love that the cover is washable, as that is pretty mandatory in our house with kids and pets. I am very impressed with the quality.
