1" Inch Yellow Rubber Brush Fire Hose With "Smooth Flow Technology"

Engineered to combat the rigors of wildland fire fighting and ideal for changing forestry terrain, providing the ultimate in heat, abrasion and puncture resistance.

  • High pressure 300psi service rating and lightweight rubber jacket construction lead to a higher performing hose.

Usually these rubber fire hoses are kept on hand in municipal & forestry departments or construction sites for heavy duty jobs.  Structural firefighters typically choose larger double jacket hoses for firefighting for the added durability and longer lifespan.  But these wildland hoses are the best choice if you need high flexibility and speed in hectic brushed situations.  The rubber hoses are designed to be hauled off in your carrying packs when you're running toward the action.

Uses:

  • Fire Departments
  • Heavy Duty Industrial Projects
  • General Water Pumping
  • Agricultural / Irrigation
  • Wash Down
  • Fire Hydrants
  • Sump & Trash Pumps
  • Valves & Standpipes

If you're moving these hoses around day to day, 50 foot lengths are the best way to go.  They are lightweight enough to carry around and roll up.  For applications where you set the hoses for extended periods of time, the 100 foot lengths are more economical.

Will This Hose Fit My Outlet?  Which Connectors Do I need?

  • At the top of the page you need to select which style of fittings you need.
  • What are NH/NST Fittings? National Hose / National Standard Thread - Standard fire hose fittings.  Both NH and NST are the same thing.  This is the most common size for fire departments today.
  • What are NPSH Fittings? National Pipe For Straight Hose - These are straight pipe fittings.  They're compatible with all standard pipe threads including NPT, NPSM, PVC, NPSH. NPT notes - a female NPSH will connect onto a male NPT fitting, but a female NPT fitting will not connect onto a male NPSH fitting.

Can I Use A Nozzle With This Hose?

Absolutely you can!  1 Inch fire hoses are designed to work with spray nozzles.  For this particular hose, you'll need a 1 inch fire hose nozzle equipped with 1" fittings.

You can check the nozzles section here.  Spray nozzles are normally used for wash down, emergency fire fighting, dust control, transferring water to hard to reach places, or even as a shut off valve.

A true firefighting nozzle will be constructed from high quality metals and have higher psi ratings.  The popular plastic red fire nozzles are made for residential uses and should only be used for firefighting in emergencies.  They are rated to handle 100psi (NFPA requirements for firefighting) and has 3 settings: straight stream, fog, and shut off.  Check the graphic below for a better look.

    Not squared shelves
    Color: Rustic Wood
I thought these shelves would be squared but they are actually rounded at the corner making them a but awkward to hang especially if your walls aren't perfectly squared. They look pretty once hung but they are quite hard to hang if you go by the instructions. I would not buy these again.

Gets the job done, not sure for how long
    Color: Rustic Wood
These were hard to assemble due to the screw needing to go behind a metal bar, meaning all of my shelves are wobbly and one is starting the cave in the corner some. Overall not too bad for the price (got it on sale, wouldn’t recommend paying full price. Also didn’t realize the wood was unfinished so it’s splintery (be careful, I got several splinters when assembling and putting up).

    A great $30
    Color: Grey, Color: Grey
The wood is cheap particle board (probably better bc they are very light weight) but the brackets are plenty strong and sturdy. Advice on the install: your walls may not be exactly 90 degrees. Install one bracket after the other is holding the shelf up. Super pretty.

    Great shelves but be warned.
    Color: Grey
These shelves are great for small items and can definitely hold up to their advertised weight if mounted in a stud. However, DO NOT use the longest screws at all. All the screws are low quality and are likely to break. The medium length ones are sufficient for everything. If your wall faces an exterior concrete wall: break off the tips on the dry wall anchors, they are too long.
