COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the Manage Workplace Diversity course. This program will equip you with the knowledge, awareness, and interpersonal capability required to build and sustain an inclusive, high-performing workplace. You will explore what diversity management means, what diversity itself encompasses, and how primary and secondary dimensions of diversity shape the ways individuals experience work. This course also examines the impact of diversity on business performance and highlights the risks organisations face when diversity is not managed properly, including disengagement, conflict, discrimination, and reduced productivity.

This course begins by exploring how workplace diversity affects the organisation as a whole. You will examine the potential obstacles that must be overcome for an organisation to be successful, as well as the opportunities that arise when diversity is managed effectively. This includes understanding how capitalising on workplace diversity can help an organisation innovate, adapt, and compete, and how unmanaged diversity can create operational, cultural, and interpersonal challenges. You will also examine the barriers to diversity and the behaviours that emerge when individuals hold negative attitudes toward differences, including prejudice, sexism, racism, ethnocentrism, and other “isms.”

A further learning area focuses on workplace stereotyping and discrimination, and how these forms of bias affect diverse workforces. You will explore the consequences of discrimination, including emotional harm, reduced performance, and exclusion, and examine the different meanings that non-verbal communication may carry within a diverse workforce. This section highlights the importance of accepting differences, developing cultural awareness, and creating an environment in which all employees feel respected and valued.

You will then explore the competencies required to manage diversity effectively, including communication, cultural awareness, conflict management, and interpersonal sensitivity. This section examines why interpersonal skills are essential in a diverse environment, how to manage conflict constructively, and how to recognise stereotypes and generalisations before they influence behaviour. You will also explore how managing diversity is an ongoing learning process that requires consistent reflection, feedback, and intentional development.

Another component of the course focuses on self-awareness, examining the importance of knowing your own culture, values, beliefs, assumptions, strengths, and limitations. You will explore how self-awareness influences interactions, decision-making, and leadership, and why managers must understand their own biases and boundaries to create a more inclusive environment. This section also highlights the importance of respecting other cultures and recognising that diversity enriches organisational thinking and outcomes.

The course also explores how to learn by interacting and how to engage with colleagues in a nonjudgmental and compassionate way. You will examine strategies for building meaningful relationships with people you perceive as different, and techniques for communicating effectively across cultural or personal differences. This includes learning how to be flexible, how to adapt to changing dynamics, how to adjust your behaviour based on others’ reactions, and how to navigate ambiguity with confidence.

You will then explore how to maintain consistency in your actions and decisions without becoming rigid or inflexible. This balance is essential for managers working in diverse workplaces, where fairness, clarity, and predictability are expected, but adaptability and openness are also required. By strengthening your cultural competence, communication skills, and reflective practice, you will be better prepared to create a workplace culture that values diversity as a strategic and human asset.

By the end of this course, you will be able to define diversity management, recognise barriers and opportunities, prevent discrimination, develop cultural competence, manage conflict effectively, and build inclusive environments that support the wellbeing and performance of all employees.

Great quality!
Color: Beige, Size: Large
Perfect for my husband for maternity photos. Large was the perfect size, it was long enough, and thick enough for the chilly weather! Would purchase again.

Will be buying more for the hubby for summer time.
Color: Beige, Size: Large
I was a little nervous buying this shirt as an anniversary gift for my husband but its actually really nice quality and the color wwas pretty accurate and he wants more!! Hes about 5'9" 190lbs and I ordered a Large and it fits him very nice. The material is very lightweight and so soft. Its definitely on the dressy side. I feel that the wrinkle quality is pretty good to because when. It came out of the package there wasn't much wrinkling and when it was folded there wasn't much either.

Looks great, however had size issue
Color: Blue, Size: Small
I ordered the small, however the sleeves were too long and will return it. The shirt looked great and seemed to be of very good quality. Certainly would have kept it if not for the sleeves.

Excellent!!
Color: Beige, Size: Large
Really loved these shirts for my hubby. They were pretty good quality shirts. Love the linen material. Also love the buttons on the collar which my husband prefers to wear with his jackets. They are very comfortable. As far as size, I ordered according to the size chart. He typically wears a size Large. According to the size chart an XL would best so that’s what I ordered. But I truly believe that a size L would’ve been better. So I would say they are true to size. My husband weighs 205, and has muscles and a size L would’ve been just fine. I ordered 3 because I loved them. I’ll stay with the XL. But if I were to order more I’ll preorder a Large. Very happy with this purchase. They are not slim fit either. Just for an FYI.

Quality + Fit + Value - VERY pleasantly surprised!
Color: Black, Size: Large
I stand at 6.0125" 200lb (showing signs of a Dad bod)., and the large was a perfect fit for me. The quality exceeded expectations, perfect thickness and weight for the colder months. I actually set this up between a Boss & Ted Baker (my-go's to in past 10-years) and asked my date to pick one of three - she grabbed this shirt. if you're looking to re-evaluate how much your spend on dress shirts - this Brand will not disappoint in terms of quality and fit. If your wearing brands like Express, Banana or even worse - Untuck-it, consider this a marginal upgrade. I'm going to by a few more and I'll update if anything changes.
