Totem KIN Force 3-Channel Soundbar Bundle with KIN Sub 8 at Vinyl Sound Toronto Canada

The Totem KIN Force and KIN Sub 8 Bundle is a complete 3.1 architectural home theater system from Totem Acoustic (Montreal, Canada), available at Vinyl Sound in Toronto, Canada. The KIN Force is a passive 3-channel LCR on-wall soundbar measuring 47.25 inches wide and just 3.5 inches deep, housing six proprietary 4-inch MHEX phenolic honeycomb woofers and three 1-inch titanium-injected soft dome tweeters across dedicated left, centre, and right channels, covering 57 Hz to 21 kHz at 90 dB sensitivity and 6 ohms nominal impedance per channel. The KIN Sub 8 adds a 200-watt Class D amplifier driving an 8-inch reinforced fiberglass woofer in a slotted enclosure, extending system bass to 29 Hz in-room. The bundle includes wall bracket, magnetic grilles, and anti-skid feet for all components, and the KIN Force handles 20 to 125 watts RMS per channel from any AV receiver or multi-channel amplifier.

KIN Force: Six MHEX Woofers and Three Discrete LCR Channels

The KIN Force houses three independent speaker systems within a single 47.25-inch-wide, 3.5-inch-deep on-wall enclosure, with each channel receiving a dedicated pair of 4-inch MHEX woofers and one 1-inch titanium-injected soft dome tweeter. The MHEX cone construction uses multiple layers of phenolic honeycomb and woven synthetic materials bonded into a single rigid diaphragm that maintains a pure, flat frequency response through the critical 100 Hz to 2.5 kHz midrange band with sensational transient capability. Cast aluminum frames surround each MHEX driver, resisting resonance-inducing vibrations and enabling larger voice coils and spiders for the 20 to 125-watt power handling and bass output that defies the 3.5-inch-deep enclosure. The 1-inch titanium-injected soft dome tweeter in each channel combines soft dome smoothness with titanium-enhanced speed for precise, effervescent high-frequency clarity. Because the KIN Force's three channels are fully discrete, dialogue remains anchored to the centre position while music and cinematic effects extend naturally to the left and right, producing Totem's signature holographic soundstage from a single slim cabinet mounted flush beside or below the television. The ported enclosure tuning supports the bass output of all six MHEX woofers, reinforcing low-frequency efficiency and extension to 57 Hz.

KIN Sub 8: 200W and 29 Hz Musical Bass Foundation

The KIN Sub 8 is a compact powered subwoofer measuring 9.5 inches wide, 11.25 inches tall, and 11.5 inches deep, providing the low-frequency foundation for the 3.1 system from a footprint that fits on any shelf, in any cabinet, or beside any piece of AV furniture. Its 8-inch reinforced fiberglass cone woofer uses high-tensile spun fiberglass strands bonded to a cellulose core, providing exceptional cone rigidity relative to weight for controlled deep bass excursion. A butyl rubber surround allows the extended excursion needed to reach 29 Hz in-room from the compact slotted enclosure. The 200-watt Class D amplifier is engineered specifically for this driver and enclosure combination, and rear-panel volume, phase, and variable crossover frequency controls allow precise integration with the KIN Force speakers and any room acoustic. RCA stereo and LFE inputs provide compatibility with the subwoofer output of any AV receiver paired with the KIN Force.

Key Features

  • Complete 3.1 Architectural System: KIN Force 3-channel LCR soundbar plus KIN Sub 8 powered subwoofer with all mounting hardware, magnetic grilles, and anti-skid feet included for a ready-to-install home theater front stage.
  • Six 4-Inch MHEX Phenolic Honeycomb Woofers: Two dedicated MHEX drivers per channel in a multi-layer phenolic honeycomb and woven synthetic construction for flat midrange response, high power handling, and bass that defies the 3.5-inch-deep enclosure.
  • Three 1-Inch Titanium-Injected Soft Dome Tweeters: Dedicated high-frequency driver per channel delivering precise, effervescent treble clarity for dialogue intelligibility and musical detail across the full front soundstage.
  • Three Discrete LCR Channels: True left, centre, and right channel independence within the single KIN Force cabinet for genuine multi-channel spatial separation and holographic soundstage imaging.
  • Ultra-Slim 3.5-Inch Depth: KIN Force protrudes just 3.5 inches from the wall, matching the mounted depth of most flat panel televisions and proportioned specifically for 55-inch and larger screens at 47.25 inches wide.
  • KIN Sub 8 with 200W Class D and 29 Hz Extension: 8-inch reinforced fiberglass woofer driven by a 200-watt Class D amplifier in a slotted enclosure reaches 29 Hz in-room for full cinematic bass foundation from a compact 9.5-inch-wide footprint.
  • Variable Sub Controls: KIN Sub 8 rear-panel volume, phase, and crossover frequency controls for precise integration with any room acoustic and speaker system.
  • 50 to 100-Hour Break-in Time: Totem recommends 50 to 100 hours of driver break-in for the KIN Force MHEX woofers to reach their optimal operating point.
  • Compatible with KIN AMP for Stereo Music: KIN Force's 6-ohm, 90 dB sensitivity per channel pairs directly with the Totem KIN AMP for 2-channel music listening, with the KIN Sub 8 receiving the KIN AMP's subwoofer output.
  • Satin Black or Satin White Finishes: Matching finishes and magnetic grilles for KIN Force and KIN Sub 8 maintain a visually unified architectural installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Totem KIN Force and KIN Sub 8 Bundle?

The Totem KIN Force and KIN Sub 8 Bundle is a complete 3.1 architectural home theater system from Totem Acoustic, Montreal, Canada. It includes the KIN Force passive 3-channel LCR on-wall soundbar with six 4-inch MHEX woofers and three 1-inch titanium-injected soft dome tweeters covering 57 Hz to 21 kHz per channel, plus the KIN Sub 8 powered subwoofer with a 200-watt Class D amplifier and 8-inch reinforced fiberglass driver reaching 29 Hz in-room. Wall bracket, magnetic grilles, and anti-skid feet for all components are included.

How does the Totem KIN Force Bundle compare to the Sonos Arc Ultra or Samsung HW-Q990D soundbar system?

The Totem KIN Force and KIN Sub 8 Bundle is a passive architectural speaker system requiring an external AV receiver, which gives it a different performance profile from all-in-one active systems like the Sonos Arc Ultra and Samsung HW-Q990D. The Sonos Arc Ultra includes Dolby Atmos processing and Wi-Fi multiroom streaming, and the Samsung HW-Q990D adds wireless rear speakers and a wireless subwoofer in a complete package. The KIN Force bundle delivers discrete passive LCR channel separation with Totem's MHEX driver technology and phase-coherent design, which produces a more accurate and musically coherent front soundstage than DSP-simulated spatial audio. Its passive design also allows amplifier quality and upgrade choices that no integrated active soundbar system permits.

Does the KIN Force require a specific AV receiver or amplifier?

The KIN Force is a passive 3-channel LCR soundbar requiring an external AV receiver or multi-channel amplifier rated at 20 to 125 watts per channel at 6 ohms nominal impedance. Any AV receiver from Denon, Marantz, Yamaha, or NAD with at least three amplified speaker channels at 6 ohms connects to the KIN Force's three channel binding posts. The KIN Sub 8 connects to the receiver's LFE or subwoofer output via RCA cable. For stereo music applications with only left and right channels active, the Totem KIN AMP at 2 x 100 watts drives the KIN Force's left and right sections effectively.

Can the KIN Force be used above the TV as well as below?

Yes, the KIN Force can be wall-mounted below or above the television using the included flush bracket, or placed on furniture in front of or beside the TV. Its ported enclosure and symmetrical driver layout produce consistent sound in either mounting position. Totem recommends wall mounting for optimal acoustic performance and visual integration with the television installation.

What is the difference between the KIN Force Bundle and the KIN Solo Bundle?

The KIN Force and KIN Sub 8 Bundle combines the KIN Force 3-channel LCR soundbar with a KIN Sub 8 subwoofer, providing three discrete LCR channels in one 47.25-inch soundbar cabinet. The KIN Solo and KIN Sub 8 Bundle provides three separate KIN Solo on-wall speakers as the LCR front stage. The KIN Force is the preferred choice for installations where a single slim cabinet mounting below the television is desired, while the KIN Solo bundle is preferred for installations where individual speaker positioning around the TV is possible and desirable for wider soundstage separation.

Where can I buy the Totem KIN Force and KIN Sub 8 Bundle in Toronto or Canada?

The Totem KIN Force 3-Channel Soundbar Bundle with KIN Sub 8 is available at Vinyl Sound, an authorized Totem Acoustic and KIN by Totem dealer in Toronto, Canada. Vinyl Sound carries the full KIN architectural lineup and can assist with AV receiver pairing, system configuration, and Canada-wide delivery. I just knew there was something about Cooper! I’m wondering if he’s about to be included but damn I’m glad he’s at least not a rapist and creepy guy, he just got called on assignment and had to go! This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!

Fallen Angels, fae, vampires, oh my!
Format: Kindle
Rating: 4.5 | Spice: 2 (but a good slow-burn) • Main Characters: Huntyr and Wolf • I couldn’t wait to read this book; there was so much hype about it! And there was no doubt why. I fell in love with the characters and the plot itself. This book is mainly plot driven more than friction driven but it’s easy to follow along with. The characters are fun, easily understood. The main setting is at an academy where both the main characters are going through trials and building strength for the final test, The Transcendent. There are fantastic side characters as well. I loved the camaraderie between Huntyr and her friends. But we don’t like Lanson. 😆 We do have some plot twists that come into play throughout the book. Secrets and betrayal to be seen. I did adore Wolf and Huntyr’s relationship. It was a classic slow burn trope. They didn’t hit it off fast, but in time their feelings grew. I loved their banter, so sexy. Wolf is your next book boyfriend; Huntyr is your next vampire assassin independent bad-a*s female. Themes include loyalty, trust, self-discovery, a true slow burn romance. Side note: book ends on a angsty cliffhanger! • Emily, thank you for writing this awesome novel and I cannot wait to devour Book 2, Blood So Brutal! 😍 • Happy reading, my lovelies! xo

“My heart bows to you and you only, Huntress.”
Format: Kindle
3.5 🌟 This book popped up in my KU recommended reading suggestions and the synopsis sounded like what I was in the mood for. I'm so glad I took a chance on it. I went into this knowing absolutely nothing about it and ended up really liking it. I love when this happens. The main characters are likeable and I easily found myself rooting for them. There is a mystery element to each of their backstories that I enjoyed watching unfold and can't wait to get more of. Wolf, in particular, has me fixated. Love him. I found this to be an entertaining, addictive read with a plot that moves along at a good pace. It reads so easily I found myself very reluctant to put it down. Lots of twists and turns and the angst is there. A good set up for the next book to come, for sure. My issues with this book....the dialogue feels a bit juvenile at times and there is a repetitive over use of a particular word phrasing that I found myself giving the ole eye-roll to. There are, without a doubt, some pretty cliche moments that gave me a bit of the cringe. I think this could've certainly 100% benefited from more depth regarding the world building. Perhaps the world building was sacrificed to keep the pacing quick? Just a guess. Also, the lack of consistency of character for the FMC was really evident and so she feels quite illogical at times. Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable read that hit the spot well enough for me. That ending certainly has me impatiently pining for book 2!

Interesting take on the genre
Format: Kindle
True rating: 3.25 ⭐️ I enjoyed the fresh take on the genre. The best way I could describe the setting and world is an apocalyptic dystopian version of Farie where vampires, fae, and angles struggle to survive in what is left of the world. It was definitely interesting throwing the academy/hunger games aspect into this world as well. Even though I guessed the final reveal early on in the book, I kept hoping I was wrong, and it would take a surprising turn. While the "plot twists" were a bit predictable to me, I still enjoyed the ride this book took me on. Another downfall for me was the plot holes in the world building... I.E. if society has fallen and the world is in the aftermath of war, how are there trains running around the world? Just to take young adults to the trials to get into the golden city? How is the train maintained, the tracks clear, etc? However, I did enjoy the FMC & MMC and thought they were fleshed out nicely. I also enjoyed the side characters but wish some were developed more like Ashalin (sp?). I do find myself rooting for the MCs to succeed and find happiness together, which is obviously an important aspect for romantasy. Overall, was this an earth-shattering, mind-bending, terrific piece of literature? No. But was it the worst thing I've read this year? Also, no. This book has, to me, the bones of a great read & just needs a bit more to push it from an alright book to a great book. Overall ratings: Plot- 3.5⭐️ World building 3⭐️ Spice 2.5 🌶🌶 Main characters 4 ⭐️ Supporting characters 3.5⭐️

great book
Format: Kindle
I am really excited to meet the author at the book retreat this month. I really enjoyed this world that she built and most of the female main character Huntress is so awesome. She goes through a lot in this book and the ending; wow! I wouldn't have even guessed. I highly recommend everyone to read this book. I have been so lucky this year that almost all the books I have read have been, so far, 5 out 5 stars.
