Etruscan Revival jewelry design was popular in the Victorian era, and here we see it emulated with a Mid-Century twist. The style dates to the 1800s when large excavation projects outside of Rome uncovered jewelry from Etruscan tombs. The Etruscans were master artisans, creating breathtaking pieces of jewelry through their use of gold wire and beading. The news of the excavation of these tombs, and the treasures contained inside them, spread throughout Europe. After this discovery, Etruscan Revival jewelry quickly rose to popularity.
