INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to the Assess & Respond to People with Co-Existing Needs course. This course only includes a challenge assessment designed to assess your knowledge and skills required to demonstrate competence in preparing assessment processes, gathering and evaluating information, identifying complex co-existing needs, supporting person-led decision-making, determining service and referral options, documenting assessment information and reviewing assessment and referral processes according to organisational procedures, consent, confidentiality and role requirements.

Assessing and responding to people with co-existing needs involves preparing suitable assessment tools, gathering existing and specialist information, organising practical assessment arrangements, explaining the assessment process, obtaining informed consent and working within the scope of own role while seeking support from colleagues or experts when required. This work is important because people with co-existing needs may experience multiple, complex and interrelated issues that require careful assessment, strengths-based service planning, consideration of urgency and risk, appropriate referral pathways, and respectful support for self-advocacy and informed decision-making.

The course assessment focuses on your ability to prepare assessment tools and processes according to organisational procedures; gather existing information and seek additional specialist input; organise assessment arrangements with the person; provide process information and obtain informed consent; work within role scope and seek assistance where required; empower the person to identify and prioritise needs; evaluate needs using relevant information; identify complex, multiple and interrelated issues; evaluate urgency, eligibility and risk factors; consider strengths-based service and referral options; assess internal capability and service networks for best fit; support decision-making and self-advocacy; document, store and share information according to consent and confidentiality; and evaluate assessment and referral processes using feedback, outcome monitoring and reflective practice.

By successfully completing this course assessment, you will have demonstrated that you can assess and respond to people with co-existing needs by preparing assessment processes, gathering and evaluating information, obtaining informed consent, identifying complex needs and risks, supporting person-led decisions, determining suitable service and referral options, managing assessment records appropriately and using feedback, outcomes and reflection to improve future assessment and referral practice.

Best shoe ever
5 star rating for literally the best shoe ever. I wore these almost everyday this summer. They are so incredibly comfortable. Cushion and padding is wonderful makes walking and wearing them very easy. They are not to platform at all and they don't have a separate heel height from the rest of the shoe so you're on a even walking ground. Size is perfect I stayed true to size and ordered my original sizing in Ugg which is perfect. The style os so trendy and literally goes with everything. I highly suggest them. I have back problems/ back surgery and these made my life so much easier. Comfortable and great support.

Well made sandals
Nice sandal that works well for me, feet sit comfortably in the shoes. I’m a quadriplegic that needs someone to wrestle my legs while putting my shoes on for me. These go on fairly easily. I have short legs and the extra height of the sandals helps to reduce the pressure on the back of my legs while my feet are on the legrests. Also my ankles tend to buckle and cause my feet and shoes to roll over onto the side of my foot. The soles of the UGG Goldenglow are wide and flat, substantially reducing this tendency. As far as comfort and function while walking, I can’t speak to that.

So comfortable but only lasted 5 months…
Size: 9, Color: Sea Salt, Size: 9, Color: Sea Salt
I was hesitant to buy these without being able to try them on, but I’m so glad I did! They are incredibly comfortable. I am on my feet for a large portion of the day as a school principal and these feel amazing all day. They’re very adjustable so if you have feet that swell (or just fatter feet like me) these should be able to accommodate you. They are clunky but really cute! They’re also easy to clean. I’ve worn mine just about every day since I received them and can easily wipe them down with a wet paper towel to make them look new. They will occasionally trip you up if you’re not careful, the same way Ugg boots can do, but that hasn’t been a big problem for me. They’re very lightweight and versatile. Love them! Update: I probably just wore these too hard because today I was walking the school hallway and the shoe just snapped. One of the sides was completely unattached and within 30 minutes they were only on my foot by one strap. Super disappointed!! But I loved them enough that I ordered another pair to get me through until boot weather.

Great shoe, room for improvement
Size: 7, Color: Bison Brown
I wore these to a 2 day music festival and my feet were so comfortable dancing and walking all day. Got a little sore by the end of the night, but the only thing that would have been more comfortable would be athletic sneakers so that pretty good for such a cool looking sandal. Sizing is off tho. I am a 7-7.5, and I ordered a 7. Length wise theyre good, but maybe I have skinny feet because I had to strap the 3 Velcro straps as tight as they could go, especially the heel one. Maybe I would have been better going down a size because I want to have my feet feel super snug and secure in sandals, especially if I’m dancing. But overall great sandals and honestly I’d buy them again
