When to specify this variant
Order the TUNDRA + Probe bundle when the measurement point is a pipe surface, duct, immersion pocket, or any location where the sensor body cannot sit at the measurement point. The 1.5m probe bridges the gap — sensor body mounts on the wall, probe clips to the pipe or sits in the pocket.
All TUNDRA specifications apply. Probe is pre-connected and tested at dispatch — no site wiring required beyond positioning.

- NTC probe — pipe surface and ambient readings, ±0.5°C — measure flow and return pipe temperatures in a plant room without a wired PT100 or thermistor input
- Dual temperature reporting in one uplink — internal ambient and probe temperature reported together; two BACnet analog input objects from one device address, one LoRaWAN slot
- Battery powered, no wiring required — clip the probe to the pipe, mount the sensor, commission via the KONA gateway; no cable run, no wiring centre change, no electrician
- Up to 10 years battery life — deploy once, leave it running; no annual battery replacement in a live plant room

- Probe is a separate accessory — start with ambient monitoring on the base unit, add the probe when the application requires it without replacing the sensor body
- Deploy exactly where measurement is needed — no cable constraint means the measurement point goes where the engineering requires, not where the nearest wiring centre happens to be

- AES-128 LoRaWAN encryption — sensor data encrypted end to end from device to KONA gateway
- Battery operation removes mains dependency — sensor continues to report through a mains outage as long as the KONA gateway has battery backup active

- LoRaWAN Class A — EU868, US915, AU915 — pairs with TEKTELIC KONA Micro or Enterprise gateways
- BACnet output via KONA embedded LNS — probe temperature maps to a BACnet analog input object in Niagara; use it in a heating control sequence like any wired sensor
- Practical applications — flow and return on heating circuits, cold store pipe, duct surface temperature where cable routing is not viable
