The OE needle bearing housings can begin to separate from the rocker arm when exposed to these conditions, gradually spitting out all the needle rollers which in turn results in a catastrophe.

Extra security measures have been taken with the use of extended width trunnions with snap-ring grooves instead of the bearing housings only relying on a press-fit type fixture.
