Once installed, the seat has a left hand orientation and is easily folded away when it is not being used. The shower seat can support up to 360 pounds of weight in keeping with ADA and other barrier free accessibility
The Bobrick B-518 Left Hand Folding Shower Seat is intended for installation in showers that are used by those with limited mobility and the elderly, making them popular with hospitals, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. Once installed, the seat has a left-hand orientation and is easily folded away when it is not being used. The shower seat can support up to 360 pounds of weight in keeping with ADA and other barrier free accessibility guidelines. The seat's 1/2-inch plywood core is covered with comfortable padding and then finished with a water-resistant naugahyde cover. The entire seat piece is 1-1/2 inches in thickness and is attached to a frame made from type-304, 16-gauge stainless steel. The circular mounting flanges that attach to the wall are 3 inches in diameter and fabricated from stainless steel that is 3/16 of an inch thick. A self-locking mechanism provides added safety when the seat is in use.
