Summary:
Tested and functional. Very minor callouts regarding the appearance. Almost perfect cosmetic condition.
For full transparency, limited testing was performed using only the AA battery case (supplied) and no inline remote control. Reason is that out of all of the portable MD players that we have experience with, the MZ-E710 seems to have a high failure rate (no power) and it's very hard to find one in working condition.
The photographs show it powered and working using the supplied AA battery case.
As we do not know if there is a clear cause for any issues, we did not test power via gumstick battery (even though the battery terminals look fine), did not test using with an inline remote control, and instead connected earphones directly to the player.
It's extremely difficult to find an MZ-E710 in working condition, and not only does this work, but it's in almost perfect cosmetic condition, and also the rarest colour.
As such, we are charging a premium for this set.

Product Information:
The Sony MZ-E710 is the third iteration of the 7xx series of MiniDisc players (700,707,710,720,and 730). It is dedicated to disc playback, and does not have disc recording functionality. 
Released in 2002, it features MDLP support, anti-shock G-PROTECTION, and a VPT (“Virtual Phone Technology”) acoustic engine.
It weighs 66 grams without a battery or disc installed. 
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
It was bundled with the RM-MC33EL inline remote control.
