For all of oak's amazing properties, it needs to be very dry to burn efficiently so it gets longer in our kilns - and like all of our wood it's Ready to Burn certified, so its guaranteed to be under 20% moisture. Oak's harder to light and burns with a smaller active flame, but leaves very long-lasting embers - so we combine it with our mixed ash and beech logs.
