Italian Majolica Tile Lithographic PrintsFramed vivid Italian Renaissance coloured tiles. Antique lithographic prints of Italian Majolica tiles from the end of the 15th to the beginning of the 16th century. In Italy, during the latter part of the 15th and the first half of the 16th century, majolica tiles, rich both in pattern and in color, were used for pavements and interior decoration in many places. The prints come from a folio containing 21 motifs, printed by Wasmuth, Berlin in 1881.

The prints come from a folio containing 21 motifs, printed by Wasmuth, Berlin in 1881. The origin of each of the tiles is stated on each of the plates. Very decorative as solitaires or grouped adding a mediterranean old world feel to any room.
Framed with burl veneer frame, UV protective and anti reflective glass on acid free paper. (Numbers 11 and 21 are framed with regular glass)
The paper is slightly yellowed and some have damaged edges but over all condition is very good considering their age.
All framed prints sold, four unframed prints remain and can be framed on request.
