Can also be used for applications in wood frame construction where an ASTM E136 non-combustible sealant is required, such as sealing around vents, pipes, ducts, and chimneys at ceiling and floor level prior to the application of drywall products. It has been tested in accordance with ASTM E136 and withstands temperatures up to 2,000° F. DAP High Heat Mortar is not a fire-rated sealant as defined by Underwriters Laboratories and is not appropriate for fire-rated applications. Interior use only.
