About Our Organic Everlasting Essential Oil From Corsica
Also known as Everlasting, Helichrysum or Immortelle.
In Corsica Helichrysum italicum is both, gathered in the wild and cultivated. Its composition is distinctly different from Helichrysum oils coming from Bosnia and Croatia. Corsican oils feature a high content of the ester neryl acetate (approximately 30 - 40%) and a lower concentration of italidione sesquiterpenes (often 6 - 8%). Bosnian oils display about 6- 8% neryl acetate and often over 20% diketones. The high ester content gives the Corsican oils their celebrated rounded fragrance and almost instant pain relieving effect.
This essential oil is the strongest tissue regenerating agent in aromatherapy.
We are often asked about the difference between the Everlasting oils from Bosnia Herzegovina, Corsica, Italy and Province. While all four, actually five (two from different distillers in BiH) have different chemical composition they can be used interchangeably for the purposes of skin and liver healing. We tested the varieties extensively in person and can maybe say as much, that the oils from BiH work extremely well on fresh wounds and scars, for disinfection and tissue regeneration, while the Corsican one showed superior pain relieving qualities on open wounds and burns. It also seems to be highly beneficial in the treatment of old scars. But all in all it really remains a question of personal preference.

Direction For Use
Topical use: apply topically diluted in a carrier oil or undiluted.
Oral use: dilute 1-2 drops in a glass of water. You can add 1 drop to a tablespoon of olive oil or a piece of bread. You can make your own capsule by adding 1 drop to your desired carrier oil.
Other uses: widely used for creating blends.
