  • Baule Elephant Rider Mami Wata Statue, Ivory Coast #1104
  • Materials: Wood, paint
  • Presumed seniority: Over 30 years.
  • Baoulé rider, ethnic group from the center of Côte d'Ivoire. Representation of Mami Wata, mastering a snake held above her head, and riding an elephant. Painted type patina, with harmonious shades. Fine and very delicate sculpture, teeming with details.
  • The painted statuettes cover very varied areas in Africa. Generally devoted to the worship of the ancestors, the geniuses of fertility or divination, they are found on altars, canoes, in houses or carried on either, among peoples as different as the Yoruba, the Fanti, the Akan, the Ewe etc.
  • They appeared with colonization, hence their name. Contrary to what is said according to some sources, they are not intended to ridicule "the white man". By appropriating the power of the settler, presented with an accessory of European origin, they fully participate in the animist cult. The settler continues to be born, in certain ethnic groups, and to appear according to the rites, customs and traditions of ancestral Africa.
  • To fall in love with these statuettes with fun looks and silhouettes. there is no need to be keen on the culture of African societies or to love traditional art. This is one of the specificities of this expression of "Art Colon". The touching and tender side, laughter, awakens the fiber of the child that lies dormant in each of us.
  • Reflection statuettes, hinge statuettes, they express a whole slice of history, and even for those who know how to dream a little, a whole slice of the future.
  • Measurements:  34.5 x 16.5 x 20 cms.

It feels cheap and works just okay
This product just feels like it was made on the bottom dollar. It is very cheaply made and the doors to the battery compartment are so fragile it feels like they may snap next time I have to change the batteries. There's absolutely no weather proofing so I wouldn't leave it outside in the rain or heat. That being said, it's fine. It stays put on our umbrella and puts out light, albeit not much light.

Functional and easy to install!
Color: Cool White
This umbrella light is super handy! It hinges open to allow installation around the umbrella pole, so you don’t have to remove umbrella from table to add the light. I like that it can be charged with included USB cord or can use regular batteries. The different light settings are also nice depending on how much light you need or want at the time. We’ll be using this quite often when sitting at the table by the pool this summer.

Different than most on the market worth a try!
I’ve tried a lot of pimple patches and these actually feel different from most of the ones on the market because of the sulfur/OptiMSM ingredient combination. They don’t just cover the spot — they seem to really help bring everything to the surface faster. I had one deep pimple that had been under my skin for so long I honestly started wondering if it was just a scar at that point, and this patch finally helped it come out and heal. The patches are super thin and blend into the skin really well, so they’re easy to wear during the day or overnight. They stick well without feeling harsh on my skin, and I also tried them on my tween sons, who definitely need to wash their noses better sometimes, and they seemed to work really well on their softer skin too without causing irritation. I also love the little travel pouch included. Definitely one of the more effective acne patches I’ve used.

Halo patches
I tried the Halo Dot Ultra Thin Pimple Patches, and overall I’m really impressed with them. In terms of effectiveness, they work well at helping bring pimples to a head and protecting spots overnight so they don’t get worse or irritated. The value for money is good since you get a decent amount in the pack and they’re thin enough to use during the day or night without being too noticeable. They’re super easy to use—just clean skin, place the patch, and go—and I like that they stay in place pretty well. I also find them pretty versatile, since you can wear them at home or out and about if you get a discreet one. For skin sensitivity, they’ve been gentle on my skin with no irritation, which is a big plus for me. Overall, they’re a simple, effective skincare staple I’d definitely keep on hand.

Nice patches -- Fair price -- has sulfur!
This is a review for the Halo Dot™ Pimple Patches for Face, Hydrocolloid Acne Patches with OptiMSM®, Visibly Shrinks Zit & Whitehead- Comes with Travel Essentials Inner Pouch (33 PATCHES) ($12.59) PROS: Price -- a fair deal for 33 patches and consistent with pricing of most other similar patches online. The inclusion of sulfur (this OptiMSM business) makes these unique also -- I can't seem to find others on Amazon with similar formulation, so these are intriguing. Sulfur is known for antimicrobial properties and can be helpful for zits and a little bit gentler on your skin than benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid -- but anytime I put any sulfur stuff on zits that are above or around my eyes, it seems to migrate INTO my eyeball while I'm asleep and man is that uncomfortable. This little patch solves that dilemma nicely by keeping the sulfur put. CONS: none that I can see; these are a nice entry into the hydrocolloid acne patch space.
