The 3M Speedglas 9100 MP Welding Helmet includes respiratory protection, a hard hat, optional hearing protection, and flip-up weld shield. It can help protect the face from sparks and splatter, and the eyes from intense light during MIG, TIG and stick welding. The auto-darkening filter (ADF) shows precision optics, and side windows in the welding helmet give each welder a wider viewing field to see more of their work area.
Respiratory protection
When used correctly, the Adflo powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) and welding helmet achieve an assigned protection factor (APF) of 25. The PAPR system includes particulate filters, a lithium ion battery, and a spark arrestor.
Protection against sparks and spatter
A wide, clear faceshield helps protect the face and eyes against welding splatter, sparks and arcs. The hard hat stands up to tough jobs involving flying debris; including grinding, and TIG, MIG/MAG, and stick welding. ADF darkens milliseconds after welding begins, ensuring that eyes are protected throughout the operation.
Flip-up weld shield
The flip-up 9100-Series welding shield allows for quick transition between welding and non-welding tasks, and its ADF offers color contrast and protection against airborne debris.
