The Chauvet Obey 70 Universal DMX-512 Controller is a 4RU rack-mountable lighting controller. It can control up to 12 DMX-enabled lighting fixtures with up to 16 DMX channels of control per fixture. It can also control DMX enabled strobes and fog machines using dedicated buttons, a 1/4" connector for strobes, and a 5-pin connector for fog machines. The LED button on the strobe button will flash at the same rate as the strobe. It also features a tap-sync button and beat activation for coordinating the lighting to the music.
The device features 14 reversible faders, a speed time fader, a fade time fader, and an assignable pressure sensitive joystick for programming lighting shows. It can store up to 6 sets of sequentially linkable light chases, each with up to 240 scenes over 384 channels of DMX control. An LCD display provides visual feedback for operating the device. The unit is also MIDI compatible for programming shows using a computer and a MIDI interface or triggering changes using external MIDI devices.
