Ubisoft and Laced Records have renewed their adherence to the brotherhood to bring the music of Assassin’s Creed Shadows to vinyl. 

Assassin’s Creed Shadows transports players to the rich setting of feudal Japan, anchored by a soundtrack that fuses traditional instrumentation with playful modern techniques. Production team Thunderdrum (Alex Cameron Ward, Félix Rebaud-Sauer & Hugo Brijs) were tasked with bringing the redemptive story of legendary samurai Yasuke to life. 

Prolific and inventive, Thunderdrum found a kindred spirit in collaborator and vocalist Tiggs Da Author. A vital force in black British music, Tiggs inimitable flow and soulful delivery have seen him working with icons including J Hus and Stefflon Don, here lending a completely new dimension to the soundtrack. 

Fusing Morricone guitars, East African rhythms and traditional Japanese flutes with psych-rock instrumentals, Thunderdrum display their strength in guitar music and scoring whilst Tiggs Da Author enters bold new territory, this being his first release singing in his native language of Swahili.
