After years of whining, and in an act not unlike the Unjust Judge of Luke 18, I finally relented. Fine, lad, enjoy your little bracelet. But when these arrived, I must admit I saw the error of my ways. Perhaps in my contempt for the shop boy I had overlooked a gold mine. I quickly purchased my own vintage Datejust and soon discovered that I had let pride blind my eyes to a stunning, timeless classic.
Immediately, I commissioned an Executive and Senator bracelet to be made, but I couldn't stop there. This watch was in circulation for decades, and I knew that I would never satiate both the vintage purist and modern collector. So I knew I needed both solid and hollow end links. Is that good enough? "More options!" I shouted at the kid. So he came back with 2 different clasp versions - a vintage pressure and a modern double button milled.
For his surprising perception, the lad has been promoted to night custodian and is allowed to keep any extra spring bars he sweeps up.
