Specialists in the wines of Chablis since 1814 and now owned by Boisset Family Estates, Burgundy’s largest family producer they are known for their pure and authentic wines that "offer excellent value for the price" according to renowned publication Burghound. «Les Petits Dieux» is named after the small Celtic statuettes still dotted around some of the Chablis vineyards. Located in the north of Burgundy, in Yonne department, the appellation stretches over 1000ha around 20 communes that cover the hillsides running alongside the pretty Serein Valley.

The vineyard enjoys an exceptional geological situation. The main bedrock comes from the Jurassic epoch, or more precisely the Kimmeridgean age (150 million years ago). Deposits of tiny oysters can still be found today in the rock, remains of a time when the sea was covering this territory. Chablis was named after the Latin "caplum", which means "ford".

The vineyards were developed in the 3rd century, under the Roman Emperor Probus. Then the major expansion of Chablis was down to the Cistercian Monks of the Abbey of Pontigny in the C 12th. However, by the end of the 19th century, phylloxera destroyed the entire vineyard, which explains the ‘recent’ introduction of the Chardonnay varietal. The 2022 vintage in Chablis was described as "One of the best in recent memory" by Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, in The Wine Advocate, “a very fine vintage” in Decanter Magazine “a classic expression of Chablis with superb balance” by Wine Spectator Magazine.
