This exceptional specimen of Chresmoda obscura, an extinct Jurassic water strider, originates from the renowned Plattenkalk deposits of Eichstätt, Bavaria, Germany. Dating to approximately 145 million years ago, the fossil preserves fine anatomical detail throughout, demonstrating the extraordinary preservation qualities for which the Solnhofen deposits are celebrated. Presented on its original limestone matrix, the specimen displays remarkable clarity and natural contrast against the fine-grained stone. The balanced composition and quality of preservation make it a particularly attractive example of this rarely encountered Jurassic insect.

The Eichstätt Plattenkalk forms part of the world-famous Solnhofen Limestone, one of the most significant fossil-bearing formations ever discovered and the source of iconic specimens such as Archaeopteryx. The fossil is displayed within a detachable brass stand featuring a bespoke raised mount, providing an elegant and unobtrusive presentation. Distinguished by its exceptional preservation, celebrated provenance, and strong visual presence, this is a particularly fine example from one of the world's most important fossil localities.

I am certainly glad I found them and finally ordered
Size: 10, Color: Ivory/White/British Tan
A bit bulkier than my Stan Smiths Leather versions, but actually more comfortable. They seem to be a bit "clunkier" looking than a streamline Stan Smith, but it's a matter of style. It works for a change of pace. Gets or picks up dirt a bit, but cleans well, except the canvas part. Has lasted almost 6-8 months with very little signs of wear. Feels very secure in any type of weather or condition. Great alternative or addition to having a pair of Stan Smiths.

Love the look, but Narrow
Size: 10, Color: Marine Blue/Woodbury/Ivory
What is for my son-in-law, he loves them, but had to switch them out twice because they run very narrow. He doesn’t have a wide foot at all so be careful when you purchase. Other than that they are a good looking shoe and he really likes them.

Awesome value shoes
Size: 11.5, Color: Ivory/White/British Tan, Size: 11.5, Color: Ivory/White/British Tan
These white Cole Haan shoes are just what I hoped for, the color is a perfect off-white, somewhere between cream and pure white, which gives them a more refined look. The quality feels excellent, they’re very comfortable right out of the box, and the laces feel durable and well-made. They fit true to size with no issues. Based on this experience, I’ll definitely be buying more from this brand in the future especially at this price point.
