Overview of the UZI Premium Nickel Finish Leg Irons | UZI-HC-LEG

Reliable Ankle Restraint Built for Professional Transport

When you have a subject in custody and need to move them safely, every detail matters. UZI Premium Nickel Finish Leg Irons give law enforcement officers, corrections professionals, and military personnel a purpose-built restraint that does not leave room for error. The UZI-HC-LEG is constructed with raised rivet design for durability that holds up through demanding, repeated field use.

Precise Fit, Maximum Control

The 23 locking positions let you set the right fit regardless of the subject's build, and the double-locking mechanism prevents any inadvertent cinching once secured, protecting both officer and subject. A 16-inch twist chain keeps ankle movement controlled while still allowing safe, assisted ambulation during transport.

The bright, polished nickel finish gives a professional appearance consistent with the globally recognized UZI brand, trusted by the U.S. Army, Secret Service, and Special Forces.

Key Features

  • Raised Rivet Construction: Reinforced rivet design on each cuff body provides structural integrity under stress and repeated use
  • Double-Locking Mechanism: Prevents the ratchet from cinching tighter once applied; eliminates accidental release and reduces liability risk
  • 23 Locking Positions: More positions than many competing models give you a more precise fit across a wide range of ankle sizes
  • 16-Inch Twist Chain: Provides controlled movement range for safe subject ambulation without sacrificing security
  • Nickel Finish: Polished silver nickel finish delivers a professional appearance and resists tarnishing over time
  • Two Keys Included: Both standard handcuff keys are compatible with most police-quality restraints on the market today
  • Brand Pedigree: Trusted and utilized by U.S. Army, Secret Service, and Special Forces units
  • Compact Package Dimensions: 10.43 x 3.74 x 0.98 inches, lightweight at 15.50 oz for easy duty bag storage

Compatibility

The UZI-HC-LEG is designed for adult ankle restraint applications. The 23-position ratchet system accommodates a wide range of ankle sizes, making these leg irons suitable for use across a broad subject population.

The two included keys are standard-format handcuff keys compatible with most UZI restraints as well as many other major brands, including ASP, Peerless, Smith and Wesson, Safariland, and Hiatt. Any officer who already carries a standard universal handcuff key will be able to operate these leg irons with their existing gear.

Important limitation: These leg irons are sized and proportioned for ankle use only. They are not interchangeable with standard wrist handcuffs and should not be used as a substitute for wrist restraints.

Intended Users

The UZI-HC-LEG Premium Nickel Finish Leg Irons are built for any professional who routinely handles subject custody and transport.

Law enforcement officers including patrol deputies, state troopers, detectives, and court bailiffs rely on leg irons to keep subjects safely controlled during extended transports, court appearances, and booking procedures without restricting necessary walking movement.

Corrections officers use these irons when moving inmates within correctional facilities, to court appearances, or between institutions, where ankle restraints provide an additional layer of security beyond wrist cuffs.

Military police and armed forces personnel in field detention and prisoner transport roles will recognize the same quality standard trusted by U.S. Army and Special Forces units.

Bounty hunters and bail enforcement agents benefit from the double-locking security and durable construction when apprehending and transporting subjects.

Armed security officers and private security professionals in detention-adjacent roles will find these leg irons a dependable choice for serious custody situations.

Quality research and intriguing storytelling
Format: Kindle
This is quite a story. While it requires some in depth explanation of technologies, the heart of the book focuses on cyber crime investigations, the business and economic impact of crypto currency and a slew of interesting personalities.

Really enjoyable read on following cryptocurrency and how it happened
Format: Hardcover
Andy Greenberg is a GREAT storyteller and podcaster. Anything he writes is a must read. Tracers in the Dark was a super enjoyable, easy read. He covers, using people and stories, the basics of bitcoin and the people who try to follow the money to catch cybercriminals. I knew most (but not all) of the people and stories he covered, but Greenberg added a ton of detail I didn't know. He added timelines and color that fleshed out what happened, in each story and the overall timeline. It's a great, easy, read and I'm a better cybersecurity defender for having read it. Although don't read it for any super technical details. You're not going to learn the details of blockchain, bitcoin, or blockchain analysis...only how it's done, generally, and the people involved.

Entertaining and frightening
Format: Hardcover
Incredible job taking these real life stories and situations and writing them in such a captivating way that really draws the reader in. As fascinating as the forensic aspect of the dark web activities and investigations are, there were some very disturbing and dark areas that the book justifiably went at some readers may find very uncomfortable so just be ready for that

An eye-opener for those that believe the dark web and cryptocurrency are anonymous
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
The author, Andy Greenberg, takes the reader through a series of actual whodunit cases where the blockchain is used to trace illicit transactions on the dark web. From corrupt FBI agents to drug sales on the Silk Road, culprits are rooted out by following cryptocurrency through the blockchain. Each case is different and often involves an international game of cat and mouse. In addition, the author discusses some of the ethical issues surrounding an anonymous currency. Most readers will find this book an easy and engaging read, even if they are not familiar with the blockchain.
